Love is About Putting Smiles on Faces

Let me tell you about what love's about:  Love is about helping other people.  That's it!  My most recent prayer is this:  Lord, let me not care about anything but helping others and myself in the process.  :)   Truth be told: You don't need to care about anything else if you care about/for/with people.

Check this out

You may be familiar with this verse about love.  Watch and notice the meaning as I insert this simple phrase: caring for and helping people.  By the way, this is all our God thinks about and does all day long...and He's planning on doing this for an eternity!  So what else is there to really care about and say that we aren't wasting our time doing??  Everything we do ought to be for this purpose alone, for when we do this, we love God right back!

If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not [care for other people], I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not [care for people], I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not [care for my brother], I gain nothing.
4   [In care for others, be]patient, [be] is kind. [There is no longer] envy, [no more] boast[ing], [death of desire to be] proud. 5 [helping others shows no] dishonor [to] others, it is not self-seeking, [in helping others, we are] not easily angered, [and we keep] no record of wrongs. [When we are helping others we do] not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. 7 [This action] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 [When we help other people, we] never fail. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see [people, and especially our Savior] face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and [helping people]. But the greatest of these is [helping others, or as Jesus said, "Feed my sheep"].
Do you see what I mean?  Love is putting smiles on faces because those faces will be counted in heaven for eternity.  Pray to God today.  Ask Him how you can put a smile on some people's faces today.

God bless you.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
