Resistance Vs. Persistence

How do you know your calling?  You know when there is a burning, an ease, a sense that this is your divine assignment.  This is what you see in life that could be better if...that kind of thinking.  You have ideas or maybe even like a pain or frustration when you see something that you know could be different or better if....this kind of thinking.

Here is the most interesting point to know what your calling is:  There is a often sense of resistance...we think we don't have the right resources, we aren't ready yet, we aren't the person we need to be yet;  but here is the mistake;  know this:  You don't have to have before you go; out of obedience you go and God will give you what you have as you go!  God will give you even more than what you need as you go!

It is practical to feel a resistance when thinking about your calling; but it's faith that isn't often practical....Listen:  the reason why there is a sense of resistance is because when you sense that your calling is divine (not from you but from God), and it's bigger than you, then that is why you require faith to start:  YOU NEED TO GO BY FAITH.   The resistance is an indication that your decision to go will require obedience and your obedience is going to require your faith.   God's divine work always involves these two things, so that it's good.  So just go and know.  Look at John 9.  The blind man just went and washed his eyes, then all he knew was he was blind, but he went, he washed and now he knows he can see!  Maybe you can't see it all right now, but you need to just "go and wash" so to speak and then you'll see. So do it!

Persistence by dictionary, is the firm continuance in a course of action in spirit of difficulty or opposition.  Listen, you may have stepped out in faith and obedience to do what you know you've been called to do.  My challenge to you is this:  just keep doing it!  You know your enjoyment of life comes widely out of that and enjoying your life is a great part of your life!   Keep going.  One step at a time.  Don't worry about what people think, what resources you'll need, how much time, how much for rent, how much for this or that...Just go!  My next blog will be about:  Crazy for God  or Practical for People.  When we do things that are practical because we don't want to stand out of the crowd, God can't really bless that.  But very ironically, when we do something that's completely out of the norm, almost crazy, (Jesus is the greatest example of this)  that's when God will do something so great and awesome that it will be something this generation nor you have ever seen before!!!!   So do it!  Go!  And know that He alone is God!

God bless you so much today!

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
