Be Okay with Your Mistakes.

The first step to being yourself no matter where you are is this:  You must first be Okay with your mistakes.  You must understand that it is God who judges your mistakes, not you.  Understand this:  You judge unfairly because of your super-narrow perspective without God's help.  God judges fairly, justly, and with so much mercy it fools the wise in astonishment.  You are left with no choice if you want the greatest results, but to trust God. :)   God will use even your mistakes if you trust Him.  So be at peace even in your mistakes.  Be yourself and love being yourself.  Find out what it is you like about yourself and then embrace even the things you disliked, because they are actually what makes you interesting, and God made you perfectly without any additives needed :)  Don't add on, don't try to be more nice, more kind, more friendly, more flattering to others.  Just be kind, be friendly, be yourself. :)

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.

Choose to Take Grace With You :)

When you make a mistake, smile and take grace. :)  Today you can choose to take grace with you and smile.  When you make a turn while driving, when you say hello.  Mostly, people don't care about what you do when you succeed.  Real character of a person is displayed when you see what they do after they've made a mistake.

I was at a job interview for a prestigious school, and one of the teachers asked me an interesting question.  She asked me, "What will you do when you make a mistake?"  That woman, two years from retiring, became my greatest friend during my two years teaching at that school and she was the greatest example of a woman who was honest and kept her integrity in her successes and especially in her mistakes.  I am fortunate to have met such great people in my youth.  She decided to take grace.

In every moment we have a decision, to take the heavy load or to take grace.  Take grace with you wherever you go, and smile when you make a mistake.  Show the world who's side you're on; enough people are on the side of heaviness; be on the side of grace today :)

You Only Have One Job

You Only Have One Job:

And That is

To Love One Another

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

This pretty much sums it up.

Though It Costs You Everything: Part One: Highest Quality

THOUGH IT COSTS YOU EVERYTHING

PART ONE:  HIGHEST QUALITY

The words chosen to use in this serious is of careful prayer and respect to authors grammar.  Some words chosen disregard grammatical rules in order to carry greater meaning to convey a spiritual meaning.  We trust that the words in this series will communicate to the hearts of their audiences.

Proverbs 4:7 says, "The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."

John 10:10, Jesus says, "I have come that they may have life and have whatever is abundant.”

As I was running today I received an impression in my heart which said something like "Though it cost you everything, pursue quality.   Don't settle no matter where you are in life.  You have more than you need." This mostly came to me because I had bought running shoes from a local grocery store, because I had returned to Toledo, Ohio, from Spain and lost my running shoes somewhere in Paris, France.   So upon arriving home from Europe, I thought, "Well, any pair of running shoes will do, right??"  I was wrong.  I finished running a marathon in November 3rd, about a week ago, and boy did I feel the pain of those shoes!  Please learn from my mistakes people!

It made me curious as to why I bought those shoes in the first place?   After some honest dialogue with myself inside, I realized I had bought those shoes because of a "misbelief" about my life at this time.  I bought those shoes thinking, "Well, I can't afford any better shoes.  $100 is too much to pay for a pair of sneakers."  Yet a month later I had paid more to get my teeth whitened.  It's all about perspective people!   The Lord really spoke to me about this saying something like: "You can't afford not to get those shoes!"  Well, it's the same thing about our spiritual life.  We don't stop to pray or consider God because we think we can't afford to stop and smell the daily bread God has prepared for us each day.   God is saying: "You can't afford NOT to!"   This evenly spreads out to each corner of our lives.   In order to live a quality life, the life Jesus describes as the abundant and full life, we need to make room for quality no matter where we are in our lives.

Though it costs me everything!   You see, I was thinking that I was to impoverished to buy quality.  I thought that now wasn't a time to bring quality into my life.  I really sense God saying to us:  You can't afford to bring anything less!  If you can't afford it (I'm sure Dave Ramsey would agree with me on this one) then don't buy it! But don't compromise either. Compromising for something that "will do" only makes you and what you stand for look silly.  And it is better to remain silent, than to speak hurriedly and make a fool out of yourself.

Yesterday, I met a small boy who wanted to wreck my lawn for $5.00.  I wanted to encourage the boy who is starting his wracking business early so I ran in the house to find five dollar bills.  I could only find three.  I ran back outside and told the young lad, "Here's three dollars.  Wreck whatever you can."  Well, this was a mistake because the lawn looked even stranger than it did before with a quarter of the lawn wrecked with leaves by the time the boy finished.  It looked so silly.

This is the way God see us, his children, when we compromise in bringing anything apart of the highest quality into our lives!  It's silly and in my opinion, better not to have a pair of running shoes at all until you can figure out how to appropriately afford the quality for the job!

Make a decision today that you will pray for God's wisdom to help us:  Think quality.  Meditate on such things.  The apostle Paul wrote:

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." 1

I know it's a challenge, but God wouldn't tell us to do ANYTHING that we can not do with His help!  So lets pray together:

God, I have compromised time and time again in my life.  But today, please help me to seek your wisdom and only allow things of noble character into my life.  Bless me as you desire to bless me, ABUNDANTLY."

Have a blessed day and be prepared to meditate on God's word with me as we look into our next series:

Though it Costs You Everything:  Pursuing Value in our lives.  How well do we value "value" in our lives?

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.

Direction version:

Thinking any shoe will do?  Knowledge and understanding go hand in hand with high quality.  No matter how much money you have or where you are or where you are from, you deserve the highest of quality.  Really you don't deserve it, but this is the mystery of Christ who says, you are worth it.  Christ died for you!  God's ONLY Son:  God sent His only son to suffer, hurt, and die for everything you have done and everything you will ever do.  The highest of quality was sacrificed on your behalf.  This is an incredible mystery that will be forever contemplated on.  It is without description BEAUTIFUL.  Now, you go and pursue quality in your life.  I thought of this after I ran a marathon in some shoes that I bought from Meijer, which is like a Walmart of sorts, for $23.00.   Look, after that marathon, I realize many things, one of which is:  you can not afford to live under the potential and quality you have been credited to by God Most High.  Running, and doing something very great in very low quality shoes is not worth it.  In order to do something great, you will need to associate yourself amongst the greats.   Thank God for the Bible, with whom we can by grace associate with the greatest of greats in God's book!  Listen closely, are you running a race?  Buy the shoes! Just buy the shoes!  Even if you have to save $200.00.  Not everybody runs marathons so BUY THE SHOES!  Now, are you desiring to be in ministry, get the training! Save the money!  Go to school!  You are more than that!  Ask God to open up your heart to opportunities to improve the quality of  your life.  IT'S ALL IN FRONT OF YOU RIGHT NOW. THERE IS NOT ONE THING LACKING AROUND YOU RIGHT NOW.  That is not said to make you feel better.  It's so true it should be making you sick right now!  It is incredibly true.   If you don't see it as true, then you might be labeling value to the wrong things in your life.

Though It Costs You Everything: Intro

Introduction:

Proverbs 4:7 says, "The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding [and wisdom]."

I have considered the cost of the following most valuable virtues in God's site for His people and they are all in God's wisdom.  The concept of "Though it costs you everything" is quite perplexing; it is the ultimate "Verses." for me:

Everything Vs. Highest Quality.
Everything Vs. Value
Everything Vs. Faith
Everything Vs. Belief  and
Everything Vs. The Spirit.

Are you willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for high quality in  your life and in the lives of your family and your legacy through your children?  Are you willing to sacrifice for value? For stronger faith?  For greater calling in belief?  For greater connection in Spirit?  These are very challenging questions, and pray you be very blessed as I invite you.

Do all these things, beloved, in love! (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Enjoy as we take a look at "Though it cost you everything!"

Are You A Martha or a Mary?

Luke 10:

"Mary sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was busy with all the things that had to be done. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, my sister has left me to do the work by myself. Don’t you care? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered. “You are worried and upset about many things. 42 But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better. And it will not be taken away from her.”

Things need to be done at times;  here Jesus reminds us that they don't always need to be done at the times we think they should.  Mary sat at Jesus' feet and it wasn't considered a waist of time...In fact, it was considered as better! It was considered better than what Martha was doing to sit at Jesus' feet.  You may think you are doing things that the world considers a waist of time.  Don't think so.

Your Talent, Your Child

Talents are considered a blessings.  Children are considered a blessing greater than our talents because I believe they are delivered by grace.   Your talents and dreams are connected to God's legacy for you..Do not be ashamed of it.   Treat them with care, like you would a little child.  Now....How are you treating your baby?  What are you saying about your child?  Do you defend her or do you just shrink away when you present her around people?  Are you genuinely proud of her?  Do you feel she is meant to make a difference in this world? I know you know the answer to these questions but let me help you:  you're answering these saying Yes My child is the most amazing baby in the world...the world will never be the same because God Almighty brought her into this world for that very purpose!

Have a blessed day!

Faith of the Farmer.

A farmer doesn't plant a seed and then go back and wonder anything about what he/she is going to yield in the future.

Wait and then the harvest

A farmer went to sow seed.  After he planted the seed, he thought to himself, "Maybe I planted that seed wrong, I will go back and plant it again!"  So the farmer got up early the next day and dug the seed up and planted it again correctly.  The next evening the farmer woke up and said, "Maybe I planted the seed wrong"  So the farmer got up and planted the seed again!  The farmer did this for about 5 months.  When harvest came, the farmer had all seeds, but no harvest.

This is often how we are.  We are great at planting seeds, but terrible at waiting for the harvest.  We think there is something that we need to do because we are being still and being still for people used to moving is difficult.  But to have a harvest of anything you have to let the seeds rest.  Jesus said to the man, "Let the dead bury the dead, you must follow me."  Routines of life and traditions of life are important, but we mustn't let these take the place of our constant priority no. 1 role as waiting people, people serve God and who are available to Him at all times (this means available to be an agent of God's love to others).   .

I know that I do not choose to be still when it is time to be still because I can be so afraid of making a mistake and not being able to reverse things because I see time as linear and as a place I can't go back to.  But that is the story and the entire purpose of grace!  Grace knows how to reach you no matter where you've been or where've you've gone.  Grace doesn't need a reason.  Love doesn't need an excuse to show you love.   That's what love is all about.  It's unconditional and given always from God.

So that is another reason why we are to look to a God who is eternal!  God sees the beginning; He sees the end; and He's right there in the middle of it all!  I'm learning to do my best, stay in the place of rest and peace, letting the chips fall and letting them rest where they lay, in the lap of God Himself.  God is in control!  David, when he made his mistakes, learned to rest under the shadow of His wings; He knew that it is God that is carrying him to victory and he learned to take rest in Him.

How victorious is our God!

So sow your good seeds and when the time is right you will get a harvest!

God said, "Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners of hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles." Zechariah 9:12

Remember, it's my job to follow Him.  It's God's job to be depended on.  It's God's job to restore and give you the abundance of life..I'm talking in every corner of your life.  (Psalm 5:12)

Let the chips fall; it's not a gamble. It's faith.  Have faith of the farmer.

God is in control and victory is ours in Jesus!

FWD: 101 Important Questions To Ask Yourself

101 Important Questions To Ask Yourself

Questions
“The key to wisdom is knowing all the right questions.” – John Simone
What questions do you ask yourself every day?
Believe it or not, the kind of questions you ask determine the kind of life you lead. That’s because your questions trigger its own set of answers, which lead to certain emotions, which then lead to certain actions (or inactions), followed by results. If you ask yourself limiting questions, you’ll get limited results. If you ask yourself mind-opening, forwarding questions, you’ll gain a lot more out of them.
Some people like to ask questions like “Why am I so unlucky?”, “What if I had done this earlier?” and “Why am I always in such a situation?”. Because these questions are backward looking, the answers you get with them are naturally disempowering. On the other hand, questions like “What can I learn from this experience?”, “What can I do differently move forward?” and “What am I grateful for?” are empowering. They provoke you and get you thinking, putting you on the path to a better life.
If you’re someone who normally doesn’t self-reflect, you might be stumped by questions. However, this is perfectly normal. I remember when I was a small primary school student, the teacher asked us how we would describe ourselves. The question got me stumped, because I had never thought much about it. It took me some time to find some meaningful adjectives to describe myself, but even then they didn’t seem right. That was one of the starting points of my self-exploration journey. Somewhere along the way, I became a big fan of introspection, enjoying the process of self-reflecting and thinking over questions.
Today, I believe questions are a key to self-awareness and personal growth. In my 1-1 coaching sessions, I enable my clients to discover the answers to their goals/questions by asking them the right questions. It’d be easy if I just tell my coachees what they “should” do and what they “should not” do. But that’s not the point. It’s about empowering my clients to discover themselves through asking the right guiding questions, catered to their situation and their profiles. The right questions will help them untangle the blockages in them and connect with their inner self.
It doesn’t matter if you get stumped in the beginning, or if you don’t know the answers to the questions at first. Our minds are boundless. Just because you don’t get an answer immediately, it doesn’t mean there are no answers. The answers are there – it’s just that your mind is too foggy since you’ve not consulted it before. The more you ask, the clearer your mind will be, and the more ready you’ll be to receive the answers.
I’ve come up with a set of important questions for your self-reflection. Some are questions which I ask my 1-1 clients, to uncover the real them. These questions will help you focus on what’s important to you, and what you want. They are not meant to be answered all at one shot – they are to be thought over again and again, as part of your growth journey. Pick out a few questions to reflect on today, then bookmark and check back a week later to think over the others. Check back regularly to reflect on the questions.
Remember, there is no one final answer. It’s a continuous discovery process. Your answers to the questions today will be different from your answers one month, three months, six months, and one year down the road. Add these important questions to your weekly review sessions. This is a highly important article for your growth journey.
Here they are:

Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible.
