Faith of the Farmer.

A farmer doesn't plant a seed and then go back and wonder anything about what he/she is going to yield in the future.

Wait and then the harvest

A farmer went to sow seed.  After he planted the seed, he thought to himself, "Maybe I planted that seed wrong, I will go back and plant it again!"  So the farmer got up early the next day and dug the seed up and planted it again correctly.  The next evening the farmer woke up and said, "Maybe I planted the seed wrong"  So the farmer got up and planted the seed again!  The farmer did this for about 5 months.  When harvest came, the farmer had all seeds, but no harvest.

This is often how we are.  We are great at planting seeds, but terrible at waiting for the harvest.  We think there is something that we need to do because we are being still and being still for people used to moving is difficult.  But to have a harvest of anything you have to let the seeds rest.  Jesus said to the man, "Let the dead bury the dead, you must follow me."  Routines of life and traditions of life are important, but we mustn't let these take the place of our constant priority no. 1 role as waiting people, people serve God and who are available to Him at all times (this means available to be an agent of God's love to others).   .

I know that I do not choose to be still when it is time to be still because I can be so afraid of making a mistake and not being able to reverse things because I see time as linear and as a place I can't go back to.  But that is the story and the entire purpose of grace!  Grace knows how to reach you no matter where you've been or where've you've gone.  Grace doesn't need a reason.  Love doesn't need an excuse to show you love.   That's what love is all about.  It's unconditional and given always from God.

So that is another reason why we are to look to a God who is eternal!  God sees the beginning; He sees the end; and He's right there in the middle of it all!  I'm learning to do my best, stay in the place of rest and peace, letting the chips fall and letting them rest where they lay, in the lap of God Himself.  God is in control!  David, when he made his mistakes, learned to rest under the shadow of His wings; He knew that it is God that is carrying him to victory and he learned to take rest in Him.

How victorious is our God!

So sow your good seeds and when the time is right you will get a harvest!

God said, "Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners of hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles." Zechariah 9:12

Remember, it's my job to follow Him.  It's God's job to be depended on.  It's God's job to restore and give you the abundance of life..I'm talking in every corner of your life.  (Psalm 5:12)

Let the chips fall; it's not a gamble. It's faith.  Have faith of the farmer.

God is in control and victory is ours in Jesus!

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
