There is a BIG Difference Between me and GOD

I rejected HIM, HE accepted me.
My actions proved that I hated him, His actions proved that he forever loves me.
Without him, even my desires to lift up others is wicked, but
without me, even His desire that he HIMSELF be lifted up is good.
I lived for myself, He died for me!
I am unworthy.  HE IS WORTHY to be praised!
Without Him, I am unholy,
with or without me, HE IS forever HOLY
but in him I can be holy
Hallelujah!
I no longer live, but Christ lives in me!
I am forgiven by God!
Praise the Risen King! Praise the Risen King!

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.

I'm Getting Into The Grace Current

I'm getting into the grace current.  I'm taking position.  Now I'm ready.

Today I say,

"Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
    whose sin is covered.
 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
    and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
    through my groaning all day long.
 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
    my strength was dried up[b] as by the heat of summer. Selah
 I acknowledged my sin to you,
    and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
    and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
 Therefore let everyone who is godly
    offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
    they shall not reach him.
 You are a hiding place for me;
    you preserve me from trouble;
    you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
    which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
    or it will not stay near you.
 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
    but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
    and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!"*

*Psalm 32

Grace is a Peculiar Flame

When God sets something or someone on fire, it may not be the type of fire you were expecting or anticipating.  His grace is a peculiar flame.  The fame might not look familiar, but more peculiar.  Ask Moses.  When he noticed that the bush he saw was on fire, it says, " Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up."  The flames were peculiar indeed.  Look at your life.  You're going to see that the flames will draw all men unto Jesus, but it may not look the way you anticipated.  It may not be the type of fire that you are familiar with.  It will be godly.  But not familiar.  It will be supernatural.  But not necessarily normal.  It will be from and of Him.  Trust in God.  He is doing something in your life that will amaze and bring others to Him, but it won't be 100% something from familiar territory.  Expect God to have His own way.  Trust in God.  Trust in His grace.  He knows what He is doing.  You are not a familiar flame.   You will burn a peculiar flame. A richly peculiar flame.  Peculiar indeed.  Powerful.  From His Word.  All from and about God.  Shining His grace. Amen.

Being Okay With Second Place

For so long, I have been trying to be first place and for some reason it has felt like I was for so long swimming up stream.  Often I get so confused and tired, not knowing what to do.  Here's my problem:  I had for so long been trying to be first place that I wasn't okay with letting other people be first place in my life.  There are times where God wants others to be first place and God wants to see how we treat those people.   When you're trying to be first place it's a very lonely road because you can't see anyone but yourself.

My problem was, I was never meant to be in first place.  When I was eighteen, I gave up my right up to be first place.  I gave it up to Jesus.  I gave Him the crown and the award.  He was always meant to be first place in my life.  Even though I was never meant to be first place, because I was trying to be first place, and I couldn't see all the people around me that God wanted me to bless and be a blessing to often in my life.  I missed out a lot!  I'm just realizing now how much God put the blessing in me, but not for me!   Now I don't want to miss out on so many blessing because I was too busy trying to be blessed myself.

I was so self-absorbed that I missed out on God's best so many times and now I'm asking you to not miss God's best for you.  Bless others.  Think about what God wants to do in their life through yours.  During your down time pray for others.  Be servant minded.  Pray for others like it's nobody's business.  Pray for your students.  Pray for your friends.  Pray for your cousins.  Pray for people even if you think you'll never meet them in real life.  Pray for them.  Be second place for somebody else today.

In 2015 The Entire United States will Wholeheartedly Acknowledge Jesus

This, I repeat, this is a proclamation and a pure act of prophecy for 2015 in the United States:

The United States will come to God strongly in the year 2015.  This is specifically for the USA.  The entire nation will repent, meaning come to acknowledge Jesus and Savior and God of the world sent to save all peoples.  The United States will as a nation pray for Israel.  The USA will repent of selfish living and War and decide to be a national philanthropist and giver for all nations.  Believe it! I proclaim that songs on all radio stations will be not Christian music, but worship.  I don't mean commercial music.  I mean worship in Spirit and in Truth.  I tell you that there are a people who are tired of the commercial Christian living and there will be a church with no walls, that means no limits.  Although there will be church buildings, church will no longer be limited to a building.   People will come to a greater and deeper understanding that they themselves, no things else, are the church.   There will be a Jubilee.  Wow.  How fortunate we are to live in these times and to live where live.  But pray for those who are living in a place where they are not allowed to worship Jesus.  Pray for your neighbor with all your heart and trust in the precious and incredible power of your prayers.   God is about to do something we've never seen.

He says,

“Remember not the former things,
    nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert."

Yes, You Can!

Yes, You can!

I had been through things that I thought was tough and for some time I didn't try because I had failed before.  But now, it's been some time, and I hear the voice of God say, "Now try it again."   And I said, I want to but I can't because i'm not strong anymore.   God said, "Yes, you can!"  Now try.  And as I tried I found this strength that I never thought I had.  In fact I felt strong than I ever had before.

Now, I'm telling you.  Try it again.  You may think things were like yesterday like that frog who tried to jump and hit the lid of that jar he was in, but now that jar's lid has been removed.  Don't be like the frog who is afraid to try again because he failed before.  Try again!  The lid has been removed!  Try again!  Try again!  Try it again!   I heard a small voice say, "Try again!"  You may think you can't, but TODAY IS A NEW DAY. And YES, YOU CAN!

There is power in the name of Jesus!

Go in Jesus' name!

Thinking about my future daughter and family

I want to be a great example for my children.

I want to teach my daughter what kind of man she is to acknowledge as a man worthy of her hand in marriage in her life.  I love her so much already.  I want to model today who her future man of God can be by grace in God, in in the light of Christ.  I am so excited about having a daughter and am speechless!  I want her to know freedom in every way God designed it.

In the future if we have a son, I want to teach my son to have this attitude:  that the level to which God will exalt you will be determined by the way you decide to treat the women in your life.  I believe God teaches us to humble ourselves every day through the relationships we have with our opposites.  We pour out our love and respect to God as we love and respect him or her in our lives.

I feel it is not my job to observe those who have been exalted despite this fact of how they treated others, but I feel my job is to have my children strive for purity in their lives and the love of others at a level greater than I or my wife even their parents had ever known.  I mean purity not in a sense of all the things they are not to do, but all of the ways God ALONE can be praised in their lives.  Not to mention all of the testimonies and stories they can have of why God is so much better than all these others superficial things.  I want my children to know the testimonies of God's grace, His grace in me and my wife, Kayla and our families.  I want them to know the stories of How Great is Our God.

Think with the Mind of Christ : )

Proverbs 3:5 and 6

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
    don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
    he’s the one who will keep you on track.

If you are thinking all the time with just your mind and never acknowledging the spirit that woke you up today, neither acknowledging your heart nor your spirit, you are lagging way behind.  Did you know that your mind serves your spirit and not the other way around?   I have seen people try to use their mind to figure out what their spirit is trying to tell them and it never works that way, but God normally talks to our spirit.  That's why He commands us: Be still and know that I am God.

God is faithful to help us.  We want to find a short cut to trusting.  Figuring it out and trusting God are very closely related.   We want to figure it out so that we don't have to trust God.  We want to have it all together so that we can work independently.  But we were made for God.  So we will always be imperfect people, but we will still have to trust that God is in control and He knows what He is doing.  No matter what we will still have to give him the glory in our lives and say that even though we didn't know all of the details, God still helped us through our entire lives! :)

Think with the mind of Christ.

We can trust and know that He is God.  Most of all, in everything we learn not to judge Him others or even ourselves.  That has never been our job.  That's why we're so bad at it!  I am finishing my masters and am tempted to think that I know something... But even though I am in an academic field, I remind myself that I need God and I am not to worship anything under God, even if it is desirable for gaining wisdom.  We will do our best if we think with the mind of Christ and Christ alone.  Yes, the mind of Christ is enough for any and all circumstances and situations.  Get into the mind of Christ today.  Let His mind guide and discern where you will go and what you will do and how you will think about things today.  Yes, He is faithful!  He will guide you today! :)

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. We are GREAT Warriors of Expectation! :)

We are great warriors of expectations.  That means that no matter what happens, no matter what we see, no matter what we hear, we are prepared by the word of God to expect GREAT THINGS from our Lord.  For we know He is faithful!  God's word says,

"But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
    let them ever sing for joy,
and spread your protection over them,
    that those who love your name may exult in you.
 For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
    you cover him with favor as with a shield."

No matter what, we will rejoice!  We take refuge in God.   There is nothing we need apart from God who delights in covering us with favor like a shield!  We will trust and enjoy God today!  Amen.!

I am free!

Confession of the day:

God broke through my shame and my selfishness. The enemy had me tempted by the things of this world.  But no more! Take the money! I don't want anything from this world to tell me that it helped make me who I already am in Christ.  I am free!

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Giving God my WILL today :)

There are two things I realize I just need to MAKE A DECISION to do for the rest of my days.  One is I WILL be thankful!  Two is I WILL praise the LORD!  If I may add number three, I WILL trust in Him more and more while I do my part to worship him in my life.  This thanksgiving, let's give to God our WILL.   I WILL trust in Him.  I WILL praise Him with all of my heart!  I WILL be thankful today.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.

God bless you today! :)

Giving :)

Today, I recognize how self-conscious I am, but our Savior was not so self-conscious to the point that he didn't give of His life.  What King leaves His throne? What King leaves His glory to die for undeserved sinners, yet my Savior, Jesus, died for me; and He asks me to do the same.  Have I been doing the same?  My prayer is to do so more and more each day.  Sometimes we have to be so drunk in God's Spirit that we start doing things for His kingdom and don't even recognize it.  My prayer is that we'll wake up the next morning and find ourselves caught on TV doing something we never thought we'd do. Something like, feeding the poor, or playing music at a charity event, or being kind to a stranger at the grocery store or on the street.  Be determined to do so.  I want to get so drunk off God's Spirit and find myself caught on TV or just in the sight of someone in front of me who sees me doing something that is not for myself.  I pray to pour out myself for others in prayer, and in things that I do today.  God bless you today very much as well.  Let's be the opposite of self-absorbed today and love on someone for no beneficial reason to us.  Amen.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. AN INCREDIBLE RUN TODAY! :D

Today, I had the run of my life.

I started by thinking I would run 3 miles.  I have this route that I usually go on that takes me all the way around from Douglas road to Sylvania Ave to Secor and then from Monroe back to home.

the first three miles

The first three miles were pitiful.  I was tried and I hardly felt like I could make it.  I was feeling sorry for myself saying things like, "Oh, God."  "Why, God?" "Help me God".  I starting singing the song, "My Jesus, my Savior, Lord, there is none like You.  All of my days, I want to praise the wonders of your mighty love..."  I started pondering the words and what they meant, and how those words never exalted the self but exalted the God that self served.  It gave me enough strength to make it around the corner.  I made it to Monroe street and felt so good that I was going to go home, sit and relax, and then I heard something inside telling me, "It's your choice.  You can stop now or you can go further.  It's up to you."  I knew that inside I wanted to go further, but right when I felt like I wanted to just stop I heard something tell me,"I will give you the strength to go on further, but the choice is up to you."  I decided to go around one more time.

The Second three miles

This time around I was literally screaming, (I'm glad the neighbors didn't hear me! Good thing I was next to a main street so that cars could drown out my yelling.)  I was literally screaming, "Oh God!!" "Oh God!!"  It really hurt!  It felt like I was going to die but I knew I wasn't!  I felt so tired, like I didn't have the strength to go on for these two more miles.  I literally felt like something was dying, but I knew they it was my own laziness and spoiled attitude.

By the time I turned the Monroe street corner this time, I started to hear God speak, and he said, "I don't give you the grace to stay in bed. No!  I will give you the grace to win! Give you the grace to further!"  I started to feel a power that came out of nowhere to go FURTHER!  I heard something tell me, "You can stop here. You've gone the second mile!"  But inside I wanted to see God's glory from the third time around.  If he brought me out of the firth three miles where I didn't feel like I could even make it, and he brought be through the second round when I was literally screaming wishing I never rain in the first place, and now he's got me feeling POWER and GREAT STRENGTH!!  Do you hink I'm going to stop now?? NO!!  LORD, I WANT TO SEE YOUR GLORY!!!!   To me this was the

So I ran the third three miles!

On the third three miles, you won't believe the strength I felt.  Ask any runner.  I'm not making this up!  I was going faster than I was ever going the first 6 miles!!  I wasn't afraid of the cars anymore! I wasn't afraid of the trails I was avoiding in the first 2 rounds!  No!  I was pushing forward and I was completely confident that I was not only going to make it, but that I was going to go further!  I heard God speaking all over the place about the first round, the second round and the third round.  He reminded me of my life.  In the first round of my life, I fought the body, over coming my weight and stutter issue.  In the second round I fought and conquered the soul and emotions and overcame depression and understood how to fight the good fight!  And the third round is over coming the spirit with God's Holy Spirit and learning the value of working hard! My life flashed before my eyes, and I could see my life in three rounds, all three rounds and how they would feel in my life.   I felt great power and suddenly this song game to me "Trample on satan's head, crumble satan's crowns."  and then I heard, "The enemy has been defeated!!  And death couldn't hold you down!! We're going to lift our voice in VICTORY! We're going to make our PRAISES LOUD! Shout unto God with a voice of TRIUMPH! Shout unto God with a voice of praise! We lift your name up! We lift your name up!"
I was running with strength and power I didn't know I had!   I heard God say, Trample over the snack and the lion, and DESTROY the bear!  Amen, Yes, Lord, I felt sweet victory!  Around the end of the third lap it began to rain!!  And then it rained harder!!   It LITERALLY was the sweetest rain I EVER felt in my life!  I knew it was the rain of victory in my life!  If only you knew how much I wanted to give up and the COMPLETE VICTORY I would have missed out on - THAT IS HOW SWEEET THE 9TH MILE TASTED!!!

I walked around in the rain because it felt so good!  I will never forget this rain!  It was like the sun was shining too and it was bright!!  The rain was so beautiful and I thought to myself, "Here's the rain! Finally it is raining!!"  Now I know that the rain is coming.  Just wait for the Lord!  At the right time he will bring RAIN in your life!

When I went inside the house (I kid you not), it stopped raining.  Just before it was POURING down rain.  You can call that a coincidence.  I call it GOD speaking to me and showing me His love!  The victory of the LORD rained down in my life!!!   Nothing will stop me from experiencing the victory we have in JESUS!!  God is for us!  He is not against us!!  He is working hard and we WILL experience victory on ALL FOUR SIDES!   Now I am sure of it!

I don't want grace to lose, I WANT GRACE TO WIN!

The three generations

The three generations in our lives

The first generation wins the battle.  The second Generation wins the war.  The third generation receives the inheritance for all eternity.

My Goals Today 11-23-14

Here is one of my honest journals.  I am being vulnerable to let you look into my prayers for this next year.  Those of you who are prayer warriors.  Please pray that I be a man who looks not only to my own interests, but to the interest of others all my life.  Amen.

My goals for today is to have God direct me in everything I do.  Go to worship at 8:30, go to eat after worship at the Mexican place, go have dessert with family, go work on Thesis, visit family, remind them about not being infested by Toledo spirit.  when i remind them i remind myself.
my bigger goals I present to the Lord are:

Phd, focus on essay writing at the ALI or in research.  prayer for the place God wants us to travel to next, my wife's blessed pregnancy, writing the thesis and getting it done this week.  Preparations for a successful class at W.F.I.  I have big dreams that I give to God like modeling, being a professional on T.V. but I give these to God.  I pray that I refine my gifts of worship, teaching, writing, God bless me to present at conferences, to invest in these by paying money.  That I have a clear sense of focus in this area.  God grant me clear vision in Jesus' name.  Amen.  Let me commit to one year of something I put everything else on hold until that one thing is accomplished.  So what is your one year goal ?

1. To be  a father and a husband of God
2. To be a successful TOEFL TESOL teacher
Jeremy, to be honest, that looks like enough, unless God shows you otherwise.
3. Pray for being a professional worship leader as well.

These three seem to be what I need the most.  I also pray to be a great public speaker which really is included with these gifts here.  I want to be a good relationship builder as well.  God direct my path for PhD in the near future.

Why You Should Write Down Your Goals :)

Here are six practical reasons why you should write down your goals:
Writing down your goal...

1. Shows intention and commitment. Even if it is just showing that intention to yourself, this is a big first hurdle for a lot of ideas. Showing that you are serious about it will help you jump that first fence, and often it can be the biggest! It also proves to you that this is something important, worth spending time and energy on.

2. Makes the idea more concrete.  Instead of remaining in our thoughts, writing down a goal makes it real. Something we can look at, tweak, re-write as time goes on. Once it is on paper (online or wherever) it becomes separate from us, something we can work towards, not just think about.

3. Brings clarity. S.M.A.R.T. goals force us to be really specific about what the goal actually is, how we will achieve it, and when we want to reach it. A few doubts pop up while you are writing it down? Now is the time to plan for how you are going to overcome those doubts and fears. Again, be really specific about who you will ask to help, what steps you will take.

4. Motivates + builds confidence. This first step is a great motivator, so don’t underestimate how energized you will feel from just writing it down. Then take that energy and do something towards achieving your goal. Talk with others about it, join that gym, call a consultant to help you.

5. More likely to be achieved. There are a million references to a famous (but mythical) 1953 Yale study about why their graduates make 10 times more money (story goes, they write out their goals). This article expains the myth, but then supports with a more current study that show this to be true. Participants who wrote down their goals achieved much better results in just 30 days.

6. You can review. Goals that get pushed out of mind by other more pressing issues, are soon forgotten. Write your goal down and then set reminders to review, or post somewhere that you will see regularly. Eye on the prize is the name of the game when it comes to achieving something significant.

A Late "Bless You" Is Always Better : )

Try it!

In a room, wherever you are, when you hear a person close to you sneeze...  Don't say "bless you" immediately.  Wait for a minute, maybe 5 minutes, and then tell them, "By the way, God bless you"  I would bet it'll mean much more to them.  Whenever I do it, even if I wait 10 minutes, usually they know exactly why I told them, "God bless you" they didn't forget : ) but for some reason it usually makes it more special.  Why? Perhaps because if you waited that long and still gave them a "Bless you!" that means you must have really thought about them and perhaps you really want God to bless them :)

I think it's often the same way with us and God.  We say our prayers and in a sense we expect a response as soon as we pray our prayers, and that's alright!  In fact we should expect God's response.  Nothing wrong with having faith to expect a response to come very quickly either, but I'm here to say, that if it doesn't come immediately, that just means God's holding out to make it even sweeter, even that much more special for you and significant, meaningful, and full of awareness that God has been thinking about you that whole time.  Trust in God today : )  Know that your "Bless You" is coming up! : )   God hasn't forgotten about you!  God wants to surprise you with His Gracious "Bless You", today!

God bless you today! : )

Carry a Graceful Spirit : ) And Be a Grace Giver

God's spirit is on you and me strong tonight!  God is saying, "You would have gone to this event tonight, and he would have given to you $100.00, but I am here to tell you this: I'm going to put a spirit on you that will make you not only debt free, but I WILL SET YOUR SPIRIT FREE!"

Sometimes I think we don't understand the difference between this worlds thinking and the power of the Spirit of the Lord; there is no money that can buy it,  but there are many people that would give anything for it once they see it on someone.  It's the Spirit of the Lord that attracts me to you and you to others.  As you are carrying groceries for that lady, don't you know that a bag of groceries is not the only thing you are carrying as you help someone?  You are carrying with you a wonderful spirit of generosity, a spirit of kindness, a spirit of purpose, a spirit of grace and mercy and God's love.  Let us not overlook or devalue that spirit.  No price can be paid for it because Jesus already paid the price for that Spirit to come and He is here!  When the opportunity comes, take it! Help someone; show kindness; be a grace giver today! :)

Luke 6:30
Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him wouldn’t perish, but would have eternal life.

God's love be on your spirit today! :)

...And The Ground Began To Shake!

The ground began to shake.

Just when people's thoughts about you were solid.  There you were...They see you as something negative; they think there's nothing you can do or nothing they can see in you that will change the solid picture of you in that person's mind.  But I am here to tell you something.  You, the child of God who called Abraham have inherited a word, ""I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."  Just when they thought you were dead, laying on the ground, never to be heard of again, but God..  Praise the LORD!  BUT GOD HAD AN EYE ON YOU.  But God had you in his mind!  But God was waiting for the perfect moment. At that moment the enemy thought they had Jesus where they wanted him..

                                                    ...And the ground began to shake!

Can you hear that??  That is the ground CRUMBLING! That is the crumbling of their image of you.  Destroyed forever, and behold salvaging, BEHOLD!  NOW a new one is stands and firm it carries with it the name above all names, JESUS! SAVED!  REDEEMED RENEWED RESTORED REMADE REGENERATED RESCUED.  I see "redeemed" on you. I see "Victorious!" on you.  I see "Jesus".

To those I say, don't worry, trust in his name.  Trust in God.  Trust in His Powerful name. For the glory of His Name

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. God's Love is like an Ark - The Only Thing to Out Last the very Last Day : )

God's love is like an Ark.  Our role is to get in it.  It's the only thing that will out last all these other things.  What is God's love?  His Love is patient and kind; His love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. His Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

His Love never ends. It never fails.  It triumphs all.

Live in God's love today.  Amen.

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

You'll Be SURPRISED What I Can and Will Do With ALL Your Mistakes! ;)

Question:  Is the problem too big for you?  That means it probably belongs to God.  Give it to Him.  I can hear God saying, "Trust me".  There are many times when we make a mistake or a simple decision that we wonder about, thinking, "Did I do that right?  How am I going to go on with this decision I made or this mistake I made?"  But in God we have to realize something:  There is only trust if we choose to follow him.  God is saying, "You'd be very surprised what I can do with your mistakes."  Often our problems aren't what we worry about the most.  It's our mistakes or the possibility of our mistakes that so often looks so great and big to us.  But we have to sit back, realizing that he made us the way we are for a purpose, so that we can shine and thrive just the way we are, because if we are walking on the road with Christ, He will give us all we need to meet our destination.  I can hear God saying, "Trust Me more." :) Be still and know He is God.  You can place a Period after that one.  :)

Trust God Today and Be Ready To Be SURPRISED with His Goodness today.  Amen.

From "I have to" To "I choose to" (Speak Life) :)

"I have" to

This may be a small thing, but they are the small adjustments in life we make that often make a huge amount of the difference in our lives, and in winning the battles we face.

I stopped saying the phrase "I have to" when I speak to or with others.  I stopped this because it just didn't feel right saying it.  After a while, I understood in my heart of hearts that "I have to" just wasn't true..  Also, I felt like I speaking as thought I was being dragged to do something I didn't want to do, or not out of my own pleasure to do so. I would just passively continue to say it but I read about someone who spoke about changing your language and then I realized some of the things I was habitually saying was affecting the way I behaved, my attitude and the way I was thinking about my tasks for the day.

I realized attitude can affect emotions and if that attitude is on a downward slope, without realizing it, this [language in this case] can drag us down with it if we don't stop to think about why we say things.  I found that we can so easily find ourselves exhausted at the end of the day and have no idea why or how.

Check this out.   My attitude now is that, "No one has anyone by the throat and even if they did, I still do not 'have to' do anything", but you can always choose.  ALWAYS.  So, now on, my attitude is, there are no "have tos" in my life, but there are convictions, and with those convictions there is the clear and wise choice, and with these are things that I feel "must happen", and I believe God can help us to accomplish these things as long as this is His desire as well.  God gives us the strength to do everything, and often that is what He gives us is what we find given from within, not from the outside so much;  therefore, I changed my language from "I have to" or she has to" into "I am to" and "We are to" and I do feel bad, in fact, I like knowing that I am choosing language that makes me feel good about my decisions and I would encourage you to consider this as well.

"I Am" to

Everything I am made to accomplish is not necessarily based off of what I have around the house, but based firstly on what God put inside of me and my faith in that.   I know what you're thinking,  it's such a small thing, this phrase "have to" and does it really matter if we say a simple phrase or not?  Perhaps not, but personally my answer for my life is, "It's the little foxes that spoil the vine."  Small rutters steer a big boat.  So "Yes" it matters.  My opinion is this: we need to speak as ones who are free from the control suggestive language, or any idea that we are forced not to act out of joy but out of drudgery.  My question is this:  How bad do you want overflowing joy?  My attitude is, a healthy attitude and spirit starts with how we use our language, in detail.

As I mentioned earlier, it came to my attention that language and the small phrases we use  on a day to day basis can be and are like the bits we place in a horses mouth to lead the horse wherever we choose.  The Bible says, " When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal... Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark." What I hear from this is: Make sure you place the right sparks in your little tongue that points you in the direction God has for you to go.

Instead of saying "I have to go and do this" try saying, "I choose to go and do this" or "I will go and do this".  There something a little more healthy about saying the latter, but a little bit everyday makes a big difference in the long run.   There are even some bits of language that I am getting rid of that suggests bits of laziness or procrastination to set in, like "I'm about to" or just habitually using the word "later" too often at the end of every obligatory statement.  Instead, I'm leaving those words and leaning more on words that help me to say the phrase, "I will....[on a specific estimated date and/or time].  You'll find that you're energy will be higher and higher and you will habitually have higher expectations of what God is going to do in your life just by the small adjustments of the words that you speak out loud.

As I mentioned, as you place the right sparks in your little tongue that points you in the direction God has for you to go, you will flourish, you will thrive, and you will find success as you speak the word of God.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Smart for My Name Sake Vs. Foolish For God's Name Sake

Which are you?  I thought about the first one, "Smart for my own name sake" and I would have to say I have done this.  I have thought about how things could work out for me so I can look good to others.  I tried looking smart, but I never realized that I wasn't fooling anybody.  I especially wasn't fooling God.   I learned that He knows the beginning from the end.  He truly knows the root of my heart and all my actions.  God knows when I am not really doing this or that for his glory, and when I'm doing it for just my own name sake.  The funny thing is, when we are all wrapped up in the "smart for my own name sake" thing, I find it is even more impossible for me to be wrapped up in the "Foolish for God's Name Sake" thing; you can't have both, in my humble opinion.

This challenges our frame of mind.  For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.  This is to say that ANYTHING with a sincere heart for God in it is stronger and is better than ANYTHING without.  Expertise and knowledge is good, but often too much dependence on expertise and you have just chocked out the heart of the matter.  There has to be some volunerability when it comes to God. You can't just 100% have it all figured out and know all of the practical answers in God's kingdom.  The rich man wanted to justify himself so he asked Jesus "What else must I do, teacher? Is there anything else I need to do?"  Jesus wanted the rich man to find his heart, where his heart is, his volunerability; Jesus told him, "Go and sell all that you have, give it to the poor [those who you have despised], and then follow me!"  That was too hard!  He would need God's help for that one!  In the same way, we all have volunerability and we all need to be at that place and be okay with it.

Be foolish for God's name sake and He will take care of you.  He says,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
    and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” any.  So we might as well lean on His wisdom alone and his strength.

This means, don't worry about those who look like they have it all together and they might be ridiculing you.  Those who don't want to be humble will be humbled.  Those who don't want to say that I [God] had a place in this will be put to shame, but those who serve me, I will honor.

Give up your right to be "smart for your own name sake"  Cross over into "Foolish for God's name sake" today.  Jesus did.   He could have had it all earthly speaking on this earth, but instead he chose a cross, death on a cross; he died for you and me and for our sin.  To man kind during Jesus' generation, this was FOOLISHNESS, but he did it and it has made and does make up ALL THE DIFFERENCE today. In fact, it is the only thing that matters.  This was such a beautiful act of love that Jesus could not remain in the grave.  Three days later, He rose again from the dead and now He lives forever with God at his right hand.  "At the right hand" means God has given him ALL authority in heaven and on earth, and He will reign for ever and ever and more!

So let us lose our desire to be "smart for you own good" and  be foolish for God's own good today.  Ask your local pastor what that looks like or may mean in your own life.  Read the Bible and get discipled under someone who Biblically teaches you in the word of God today.  He said he will never leave you nor forsake you.  He will be with you even after this life.  :)  God bless you as you go on this wonderful adventure in Jesus.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Take Off Saul's Armor :)

Saul's armor represents the armor that we often put on based off of what we think we need to get a certain take, job, or purpose done.  Saul's armor made David look like he was a winner.  It made him look like a winner in the eyes of the other warriors who were watching Goliath, scared in the boots.   The Bible says, when he tried on Saul's armor, "David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. "I cannot go in these," he said to Saul, "because I am not used to them." So he took them off."

How many times or in how many situations do try on Saul's armor because we think we are going to win the battle that way?  Many young men and women are looking for the hottest guy and girl possible because they think this is what they need to be a winner or because they want somebody who will make them look like successful.  Many people trying to do many thing in the way the world does it because they know they will receive the approval they want from men and women and become popular enough to get the job they want.  Everyone wants to  get to where they think they need to be.  But in order to get to where God says we need to be, we need to take off Saul's armor.  Take off the obligations, expectations, and step by step manufactured formula that people alone try to put on you, and trust God with what we have.

The Bible says, "Then [David] took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine [Goliath]." How many times has David held a staff in his hand?  How many times did David go to the stream to pick stones from the stream before this event?  How many times did David use his sling before facing Goliath?  My point is, David was very used to this and he knew that all he needed was his confidence in what God already gave him to defeat Goliath, AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!

We need to keep in mind that we need to keep things simple when it comes to facing Goliath in battle.  God has already given us EVERYTHING we need to not only win the battle, but win the battle with a great story, a great testimony, to tell that will give all the glory not to us, but to our AWESOME GOD who has been helping us all along.

Trust God today.  Ask for His presence.  Know that God has given you strength for today to say "Yes, I can" and when you think about something you are to accomplish, then say "I will" when you feel that deep desire to accomplish it.  Say it over and over and over and over and over again until it happens.

God bless you fill your heart today!!  YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN JESUS' NAME
AMEN :)

God Loves to Create New Words In Your Life :)

God really loves to create something NEW.   Check this out.

Before Lazarus died, Mary and Martha only knew about words such as "illness", "health", "sick", "healing"....They never heard of a RESURRECTION until Jesus came by.

We didn't know of such a word.  It's the same way in our lives.  Can you get enough faith (you already have it!) today to believe that God wants to do something SO NEW you don't even have a word to describe it yet!!?

God wants to give you something so amazing, it's going to take a newer, more full and abundant words to fully describe even just a glimpse of what God wants to do and is doing in your life.   Get ready, because you are about to go into a land where new words are going to be said all the time, words that you haven't been used to hearing so often.

I remember when I moved from working in an low budget school and into a high quality school where I was introduced to many new words (it makes me chuckle now); words such as "[Quality] Organic [food]", "use your words", "love of learning", and more.  It inspired me and I added these words and phrases to my vocabulary and I now "use my words."  I invite you to use your words today : )  Use words such as Resurrection, restoration, Overcomer, Redeemed, Superblessed, "Awesome God" often today. :)

So Blessed are you :)  This is going to be an INCREDIBLY AWESOME POWERFULLY AMAZING AND GRACE-FILLED day today! Amen :)

Moving into the Environment of Expectation

The only thing important right now is faith and the presence of the Living God.   That is your environment of expectation.  There are three things, as a man, today I prayed to God.  I said, "God, I pray that you use me in every area of my life to proclaim your goodness and glory."  And God  I, as a man want to give to you these three things

1. other Women
2. Money
3. Fame

These three things, I believe, every man must give over to God in order to be truly used in any effective way.   I prayed today, "God I want you to put me in a platform that will touch millions of people for Christ, but I, in your presence and in the presence of all these people who read my message, I want you to know that you have all women in the palm of your hand; it is not my mission to save them, but I entrust all except (and first and foremost) for the women in my household, into your hands.   Secondly, I want you to take the money I make and use it for your purpose alone, I give it up to you today in my heart and mind today.  I take it out of my personal ambitions,  for you know well that these three things were in my heart and mind concerning my own ambitions.  I give them to you today.   Finally, all fame (or power) I hand over to you today.  I will not accept it but will put the direct to the one who desires all the fame and all the power, and all the majesty.  Jesus!   I place myself into your own presence by your grace for your word says, Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.  In You, Lord Jesus and through faith in You we approach God with freedom and confidence.  Father, let power flow through me and towards the thrown of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

We have now entered into the environment of expectation.
We are moving into environments and environments of expectation.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Right Place / Right Time Vs The Rewards of the Presence of the Lord

Right place at the right time vs. the reward of the presence of the Lord.

Sometimes we have to choose. Yes, choose whether we want to be at the right place at the right time or the presence of the Living God.  When we seek the presence of the Living God, we instantly position ourselves to be at the right place at the right time.  No more seeking and no more step by step recipe of life needed.    What we think is the right place at the right time will often leave us hopelessly in a whirlwind, going here and there and helplessly frustrated.  This is very much because there is no right place and the right time without peace in God.  So, again, yes, we have to choose if we want to seek being at the right place at the right time before being okay with staying where we are to seek the rewards of the presence of the Spirit of the Lord.

We can not seek to be at a location or a position more than seeking peace with God at the same time; we can only choose one or choose the other.

There is no quick fix.  There is no short cut.  There is not a step by step plan.  No step by step to this life, only step after step.  Love doesn't live on a step by step recipe - love is quite the opposite; love does this on purpose to prove that God is God and man is man.   Man needs a step by step formula for survival.  God doesn't.  My man-ness wants always to have a play by play, and I realize that God doesn't work that way.  He is SUPER in my frailty.

How about I stop.  Stop trying.  Receive peace now : )

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Missed Opportunities vs. Believing in God

Why the "parable of the flood" with the man waiting on the shore is not entirely accurate and why opportunities CAN NOT be missed.

Belief in God IS salvation.  There is none higher or greater.

Myth:  God hides opportunities, and makes us guess where they are.

God doesn't play hide-and-go-seek-that-opportunity game with us and then says, "Why didn't you take that opportunity?  Sorry, I must have hidden it too well for you...And Oh, I am unable to make more opportunities for you..sorry!"  Do you know how I know this?  Because God himself, IS the opportunity.  If you found God, you found all the opportunity you will ever have and need for EVERY situation.  That also means that your wife is your opportunity, your friends are, your husband, your family is. Don't miss them by looking for that new raise.

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul..."  Jesus is saying, trust God, trust in Jesus.  Don't trust in opportunities more than the one who gives them.

We are not to live for this world, but for eternal life.  There is a belief, especially where I live in the United States, that we must live for the next opportunity, and if we don't do this or that, we could miss it.  Well, we are doing this so much that we do not love our neighbors because they might be in the way of our next big opportunity or big break!    We don't trust in God because we never know when we need to be ready for the next opportunity that God MIGHT be giving to us, afraid that we could miss out!   I'm going to break this right NOW!   This myth MUST be defeated because if we can miss opportunities as many present day Pastor's argue, that means the power of faith and belief in God alone is not justified as the highest form of help, an ever present help in time of need, as salvation and what actually pleases God.  Belief and faith in God is being replaced with opportune moments in time.  Yes faith without works is dead, but faith in what and faith in who without works is dead?    How did we get so far off the mark?   How did Jonah show his faith?   My point is this:  we do not trust in an opportunity, but we trust and make all our movements based on belief in God. I do believe that God knows how to bring us to our destination and God can not fail.  He does not need our human strength for ANYTHING.  What nerve we have as humans to change what Jesus said.  He said, "If you believe, all things are possible"   So whatever we do, whether we stay or whether we go, whether we eat or whether we drink.  If we do it unto God, there are no missed opportunities, only the belief that honors God, miracles will follow.

Unmissable

You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill CAN NOT be hidden. Did Jesus ever say that "If you are at the right place at the right time, all things possible for you."  No, Jesus said, "You are the right opportunity at the right time" when he told us:  You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill CAN NOT BE HIDDEN.    What did Jesus say, "All things are possible for those who believe."  This suggests that we are not to be looking for the right opportunities at the right time to receive a big huge break, but we are to be looking for the Right God to believe in for all situations at all times because He is the one we seek, not a big break.   God is more interested in his children giving others a big break any way.  So picturing a man on a sea shore standing and saying, "I'm waiting on God" can be accurate, but what is not accurate is this, God saying at the end, "Hey, I sent you this and that and this..."  This might suggest that a person who "waits on the Lord" is foolish.   but that is not the way God created all things.   We don't have to worry about summer following spring do we??  I hope not!!    It is the same way with true believe and actions that follow.   As for the man who believes, the only thing God is going to say is, "I sent you my one and only Son, and that is all that matters."  Did you know that Jonah was like this man.  What did God do with him? And what is the sign that, as Jesus calls, an adulterous generation, was given?  The sign of Jonah.  This kind of sign is UNMISSABLE.   You can't miss God.  Like Jesus said,  When he comes EVERYONE will know.   No ones going to miss out on acknowledging that Jesus Christ is Lord.   The Bible says, Every knee will bow, and EVERY tongue will confess."    So, I am telling you, no one is missing out on ANY opportunities.  Those who tell you other wise are selling something.     You were waiting to be saved, but I would have stopped the seas from rising if you believed I could."

I wish I had time to tell the story of Lazarus.  Just know this.  Miss opportunities are in fact opportunities for God to show off! :)

Jesus says, Come to Me and I will give you rest or opportunities?  Be still and know that I am God
I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. God knows the beginning from the end.
God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son

If God wanted us to take up something should not be the question, after all, it is God who pursued us.  It was God who first chose us.  It was God who predestined us.  Our job truly is the believe in Him, and guess what?  He will take us up!

Allow me to finish the story about the man and the flood.

The story goes, "When he reached heaven and asked, “God, why did you not save me? I believed in you with all my heart. Why did you let me drown?” God replied, “I sent you a pick-up truck, a boat and a helicopter and you refused all of them. What else could I possibly do for you?”

My edited story goes,

"The man goes to heaven and he says "I believed  in your only son with all my heart." and God says "Well done my good and faithful servant.  Now stay here for a short while until I make all your enemies a foot stool under your feet" because  a time is coming when that man will come back and there will be no flood or wave that will be able to stop him or stand in his way for over trillions upon trillions of  years.  I think that we think way too narrow.  Think about it.  One day there will be no cars and no more need to hurry anywhere; there will be no more threats, only enjoyment of every moment of every day.  Therefore, set your hopes on heaven. Just as we open our eyes slowly in the bright side in order to adjust our eyes, so it is with this short life and its purpose to prepare us for eternity.   So fix your eyes on Jesus.  On God.   On things above and not below.
