An Attitude of Grace! :)

Nothing I have here is for myself; I am not here for me!

There is nothing we have that is for us.  Or I will put it like this:  Whatever we commit to for our own selfish desires will crumble and wind up turning to dust; it will turn to something worse than a waste.  It would be better if that thing did not exist.  But whatever we commit to for what is good, to what it was made for (for God's purposes), then it will be better for not only people, but for all creation, since all creation was made for God's glory and the earth for (God's love for) people and people are for God.  If we commit all we do to the LORD, then not only will all we do end up blessing us, but it will end up blessing others, all the way to the entire universe as well...You can bank on it!

My house is not here for me; my car is not here for me;  my shoes are not here for me.  Finally, I am not here for me.  Then, one could ask the question, why do we have our own will if we are not here for ourselves?  We, like God, have our own will.  We can choose whether this or whether that.  We have a sense of good, justice, and mercy.  What we don't realize is this;  It is not in our nature to do good.  What is the good I speak of?  Grace.   But this is how all the earth and the universe works.   This is how the entire universe was created.  This is how you and I live.  By grace.  We were all made to accept and give grace to all things.  Sin, condemnation, and religion is all of the like.  To find God we can not hold on to either three.   Grace in Jesus is the only way to find God.  God sent His one and only son, Jesus.

There was a day when sin, condemnation and religion met.  What was Jesus' reaction?  Read John 8.  One day, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery in front of Jesus. They made her stand in the middle of the court and put the case before Him.  Jesus said,  "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her."  When all had left Jesus said to the woman, "Woman, where are your accusers? Has no man condemned you?" She answered, "No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more."

Now, what was the sin that Jesus was referring to?  Adultery.   This was perfect.  She was charged for not being faithful.  Jesus healed her and set her forth towards a life of grace by Jesus.   I'm going to say this as clearly as I possibly can.  An attitude of condemnation leads to condemnation, but an attitude of grace, which came like a atomic bomb, into this world, only leads to more and more and more and more grace!   We were put on this earth to set people free!  We were put on this earth to give only grace! But but but but but what about what about what about....No!  Only grace.  This is our assignment.  Only by grace can we love one another and only by grace can people recognize that we are from God, because God is grace.  It is not the action itself more than it was the attitude we are sharing.   Yes, committing adultery is bad, but what is worse is being condemned by spiritual adulterers.   Who's right?  Who's wrong?  That is just my point.  We have a choice:  living under condemnation or living under grace.  Whatever we choose to live under is what we choose to spread around in this world.  What are you spreading into this world?  We are here to share a heart of grace and acceptance into this world at all costs, but we have often spread fear, hate, division, and especially condemnation.  It is time to humble ourselves to live out what God called us to do, to live out in the way God called us to live.

We must learn these things for ourselves.  We must make a decision to love others as we  love ourselves and live out the calling we have all been given.  Honor those who came to this earth before you.  Honoring one another is very important.  Do not use what you have for yourself.   Everything is here so we can know what life really means and live for it.  Giving life is life itself.  Grace is what gives life to others.  It is what life is all about.  Everything has its reflection. Giving grace is what grace is here for.  Once you give it, you won't have room enough to carry it...you will have to give more away :)

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
