You Are Already a Star!

As I was running today, I was thinking about how Important it is to accept who you are and to be a man of acceptance, to be humble, and live by the truth of God and walk rightly with God.  "Be who you are", I said to myself.  I read Psalm 45:4 which says,

"And in Your majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); and let Your right hand guide You to tremendous things."

I understand that God made me who I am and satisfaction leads to more satisfaction.  Worry, feeling lack, and never satisfied in the negative sense, saying to yourself, "This is not enough"  will only lead to more worry, feeling lack and never being satisfied.

I know this from personal experience.  I was running, metaphorically speaking, after something I like to call the "not yets" of life.  I was dreaming but never arriving to my destination I dreamed about.  I didn't realize that that place of my life, a place of satisfaction and rest, is not a destination, but a stern decision in Christ.  I had to learn that "not yet" only leads to more "not yet".  I don't know if this is one of the biggest lies that the enemy tries to throw at us.  He tells us, "don't tell them about Jesus yet,"  "don't play for that sports team yet,"  "Don't play the guitar in that worship team yet" and we go on and on not fulfilling what God called us to do.

But today God is saying, "You are already."  The devil says, "You're not a star yet."  God says, "You are already a star"  You do not need a sport, a company, the television, the radio, or the internet to make you into a star.  You already are a star.  The devil is saying, "Not yet"  God is saying, "Rest.  You already are."  You are a light to this world.  You are a star to this world not by yourself but with God.  God says you are a star; understand what that means: you are [already made] God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do. (Ephesians 2:10).

Be apart of the body of stars.  Be apart of those misunderstood by people but right with God.   Which would you rather be, understood completely by people and not right with God or right with God but often misunderstood by people?

*Note

We can do nothing without Jesus.  Jesus is the truth.  We can not do anything without living by the Truth, who we really are.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
