Find Out

I think if people obeyed God, they would be surprised about who their followers are.  Often times we reject people because of the qualifications we think they should have. I am discovering that God often brings us followers that we would not think about or choose, but they are better in God's eyes than anything we could ever dream of or imagine.

Consider David,

"David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there. 2 All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him."

Surrender and relenting to God's will is about letting God do what he wants to do.  How difficult is really is to not depend on or really lean on our own understanding!  If David said, "I can't kill Goliath! The Bible says, "Thou Shall Not Murder!"  But we don't serve the dogma of the Bible before we serve God and the Word of God which is in all truth, justice, mercy, and the real grace to be all who God said we can be (which is unsearchable!).

I am entering a time in my life where I've given up, not in the way that one would say "given up", but I've given up my ideals, my own ideas of culturally related things that are really cultural barriers created by men.

Bottom line is this: You are a leader.  It's up to you to follow God.  It's up to God to show you who your followers are and bring to you those who will follow you.   Don't complain about who God brings to you, just follow God and trust God.  We all are so much often like the man whom Elisha told to go and wash seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed." (Look into 2 Kings 5:10) But we don't want to do that.   God told me once:  "If I gave you the power to do this, will you do it?"
Often we ask ourselves these days, in the abundant days of the Lord (because the days are few before Jesus' coming), why no one is following us.  Trust God.  Follow God.  He will bring the increase whatever increase you need.  Find out who your followers are, don't seek after your followers; follow God and find out who your followers are.

Have a blessed day!

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
