The Old Door Verses The New Door

Man has had a problem of sin since the beginning.  As I was looking into the first and last book of the Bible, there was one thing I noticed that I would like to compare for today.

In the first book of the Bible, in the Old Testament, we heard God say to Kane, after the fall of man when Adam and Even sinned against God, He said "Sin is crouching at your door.."  For all of us we have sin crouching at the door of our hearts and we stand helpless to master it, but we see in the new testament something new.   God, in His grace He sent His one and Only Son into this earth and the Bible says about sin, "We [man kind] like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way, but God has laid upon Him [that is Jesus] the iniquity [the sins] of us all."  Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty of all our sin and he purchased a place for us in heaven above.  That's not it! And on the third day Jesu rose again from the grave and he sits at the right hand of God the Father ALMIGHTY.

Now, what does the last book of the Bible, in the New Testimony, in Revelations, say about what is at the door of all of our hearts?  Who stands at the door now of every man?  The Bible says this: "Behold,

I, that is Jesus

stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person and they with me."

Hallelujah!!!  Praise you Jesus!!

So, wait, what happened to our sin?  They are gone!  Jesus took our sins, and the only that is left now is Jesus at the door of all of our hearts.   Behold, he stands at the door and is knocking.  Your sins are forgiven.  They are gone; they are no more.  You won't find them there now.  But you will find Jesus who stand at the door and knocks.   Won't you answer the door today and receive the full forgiveness of your sins today.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
