Obedience is a Country We Need To Stay in

Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

Often the impulse of moving into a new city strikes the mind and body.  A new city, town, state, or perhaps country sounds very pleasing sometimes to the soul.  Perhaps things are better there.  Perhaps I can start over there.  Perhaps the people will respect me there.  Perhaps I can make a name for myself and grow incredibly prosperous over there.  These are all the thoughts that might run in our minds when we contemplate a departure from our current residence.   But I challenge you to understand this:  "Obedience is a place you need to stay in consistently"   We often think about a location as being a place we need to remain, but man is not only physically body, but also soul.  We need to communicate to our souls when we feel like our bodies (or perhaps our eyes) are tired of seeing the same thing.  We need to realize that our souls need to stay planted in the soil of forgiveness, grace, and obedience to the word of God.   Forgiveness, grace and obedience among other things of God will take us to deeper places of the soul INCLUDING physical places in a more prestigious way here on the earth.  Patience takes us places in a different way than rush.   Keep in mind, there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof leads to destruction (Proverbs 14:12).  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways (obey) acknowledge Him and He will make your way the right way (Proverbs 3:5,6).   The words of the Bible is the place we need no matter where we go and we will be lead in the right directions :)

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
