Being Solution and Thanks Oriented

Many times we fall into a problem-oriented life style where we think in terms of problem after problem everyday.  This can be unhealthy because we can easily become bombarded with problem after problem, which causes stress and confusion.  It also causes us to be self-focused, only concerned about our own problems. I've discovered that being solution and thanks oriented in a great solution to this occurrence.

In areas in which there is a problem, when we are solution-oriented we can easily get out of such a slump and lifestyle.  As strange as it might sound, when we have solved all of our problems we can easily fall into depression because we feel that our lives no longer have purpose or meaning.  The solution to this is a thanksgiving orientation.  Philanthropists become philanthropists for many reasons; one of them might be that they feel they have reached all of their own personal accomplishments, met their goals and leaped over all of their personal hurtles of life they could, so they become professional givers.  They live out a life of giving thanks up to the day they die.  This is a good orientation to live by.

So when faced with problems, be solution oriented in your mind.   When you feel all of your problems have been solved, become Thanks-oriented.  Give thanks to God.  Give thanks to your family.  Give thanks to your friends and even to kind strangers.   Never cease giving thanks.

Thank you,

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Reflecting the Character of God

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."  Psalm 19:1

You can tell when you've been with God, because we our character will reflect the character of God. Let it serve as a sign to us.  When we are frustrated, complaining, we need to spend time with our Creator.

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."  2 Corinthians 3:18

Note that every time we complain or give thanks it affects our bodies and our character for that day and beyond.  I believe that our complaining adds up, but our praise multiples!  For everything we give thanks for or complain about something adds up and our bodies react in compounding ways to what we produce in our lives in giving thanks and praise or giving complains and grumbling.
There is a reward every time we give God glory, every time we honor him, every time we choose to say thank you that far exceeds all things much more instead of complaints.  When we spend time with God our hearts glow and we reflect him in our character, in our patience, in goodness, and in all His ways.  Let's pray and praise Him today!  He is worthy of all praise!   I love you guys.   Let me know how you're doing today.

"For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ."
2 Corinthians 4:6

God bless you today,

Jeremy

Fixing Our Eyes Back on Jesus During these times

This may be one of the hardest times to focus on Jesus in the mist of all of life's twists and turns.  But here are some directions for today:

1. Pay attention to what you are thinking about the most.

We need to stop and think often about what you are thinking about.

Isaiah 26: You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Deuteronomy 11:18 (NIV),”Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds.”

2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV), “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

When we find ourselves focused on one thing more than Jesus and the things of Christ alone, we need to stop and recalibrate our focus back on what matters:  Jesus.

2. During this time when people attach much emotion to political events, we need to monitor our emotions and make sure that our greatest emotional reactions are above all, hands down, devoted to the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  If not, it's time to recalibrate.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe in this?" John 11:25-26

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Co 1:18

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Peter 1:3

3. Fix our minds on Christ.  Train our emotions to be devoted to Christ.  And third we fix our mission back to and centered on Christ alone.

In this time, it is easy to make our purpose or agenda to being agents for political and structural change and that is okay because we need political leaders who love Jesus in the political office, but that kind of decision needs to be a decision not based sudden reaction.  Our mission can not be based solely on what we think or based solely on our emotions.   We need to always base our goals and mission on the word of God through silent, fervent and quiet prayer time with the Lord.

If you feel like you need to flip the world upside down after getting upset over a media commercial, that is not the way God generally speaks to us.  We need to get alone with God and recenter our attention on Him first.  We need to get our direction from God in the stillness of quiet and prayer that is focused on adoring Jesus Christ.  To do that we need to ask God to help us  devote all our heart mind soul and strength to Jesus again and again.  We receive our direction after seeking first God's kingdom and His righteousness (see Matthew 6:33).

Let's focus on Jesus during this time, because our goals as Christians ought not to be political change first, but soul transformation first,  Let's pray to stay focused on the kingdom and the gospel of Jesus Christ first always.  Jesus is the hope of the world now and forever more.  Let's fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.  Thank God for Jesus!  Thank God that for the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Praise You Jesus for loving me so much that you laid down your life to save me.  Help us in these times, LORD,  to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ and call upon His name.

Amen.

To Americans currently having a "Bruce Willis' Sixth Sense" Experience...

Before the election, a number of Americans were on board with a message of peace.  They were proud to be apart of a group that does not incite violence and division.  Now that the election is over many are responding in a curious way.

In the movie, "The Sixth Sense" a boy sees people who had already passed away.  (spoiler alert!!) Bruce Willis is apart of these people and doesn't even know it.  He asked the boy about this and doesn't like what he is hearing.  He'd probably prefer that these occurrences stop, but he later discovers that he is apart of the phenomenon that his fervently dislikes.

I think that a number of Americans are having a similar experience currently.  They spoke about stopping violence and being apart of peace, but they are acting in a way that now promotes the violence and division they disliked and do not realize they are becoming the problem.  I am not saying there is a time to fight for what you believe; I'm saying there is a way to do it that does not reflect the very thing you dislike.

What do we need?  We need to pray and do some soul searching.  We need to stop and think about what we are doing and how it is affecting those around us.  Let's really pray, do some soul-searching and figure out what we need to focus on that will help bring more peace to us and to those around us.  I suggest we don't focus on the violence of anybody and instead focus on the solutions and working together to bring about a better world and we will not find that we are apart of the problem, but we are not apart of the experience.

My Reaction to Trump as President (Reminds me EXACTLY of The Little Red Hen; read it)

I really have so much to say.

First, this is a very historic time.  I am not sure to rejoice with all of the supporters or to try and help my friends to calm the heck down.  Inside, I am so happy.  It is amazing to see a candidate that no one seemed to want fight and win against the odds.

First, again, I am not a fan of the media and I don't rejoice just because Trump won.  I rejoice because I completely dislike how the media is one-sided and did not represent the opinion of the people in a very comprehensive and balanced way.  I am so happy to sit back and watch CNN, ABC, and all the celebrities complain because they tried, in a very biased manner, to push people to follow what they wanted them to follow and it didn't work.

I watched first hand the differences between Fox News and the other news channels and believe me it was not the same.  It was obvious how Fox was trying their hardest to be more balanced than the other news channels and they were also the only channel, in my opinion, to objectively support what trump is doing..

This is a happy day for people who do not like the media, pundits, pollsters, the establishment, and all others related.  That is why this is a happy day for me.  People are afraid; and this kind of fear (and I think a good fear) is exactly what our country needs right now.  Proof was in the belligerent maligning of Donald Trump so opening and conceitedly, which occurred all over the country; that was simply not right.  I sat (quietly mind you) in classrooms where the professor OPENLY maligned Donald Trump to their students, egging them on to join in.  Now in the place of open maligning we will get fear, and what I think is a healthy fear.

Trump received none of the superficial support, so now, this to me is like the story of the Little Red Hen where thankfully these people, the cat (pundits), the dog, (media), and the billy goat (pollsters) will be ashamed to give any of their twisted assistance from today on.   I suggest everyone read the story of the Little Red Hen and that basically sums up this journey for Donald J. Trump.

Congratulations, Sir.

Little Red Hen

On a bright sunny day, all the animals said,
"Wouldn't it be nice to have some bread?"

The little red hen and her chicks of ten
They started to lead the way.

"Who will help me plant some seed?"
Said the Little Red Hen to her animal friends.

"Not I," said the cat.  "Not I," said the dog,
"Not I," said the billy goat.

So the hen and her chicks did all the work
While her animal friends did nothing, but smirk.

They planted all the seed.

"Who will help me cut the wheat?"
Said the little red hen to her animal friends.

"Not I," said the cat.  "Not I," said the dog,
"Not I," said the billy goat.

So the hen and her chicks did all the work
While her animal friends did nothing, but smirk.

They cut down all the wheat.

"Who will help me mill the wheat?"
Said the little red hen to her animal friends.

"Not I," said the cat.  "Not I," said the dog,
"Not I," said the billy goat.

So the hen and her chicks did all the work
while her animal friends did nothing, but smirk.

They milled that wheat to flour.

"Who will help me bake some bread?"
Said the little red hen to her animal friends.

"Not I," said the cat.  "Not I," said the dog.
"Not I," said the billy goat.

So the hen and her chicks did all the work
while her animal friends did nothing, but smirk.

They turned that flour to bread.

"Who will help me eat the bread?"
Said the little red hen to her animal friends.

"I will," said the cat.  "I will," said the dog.
"I will," said the billy goat.

But the little red hen just shook her head
And she told them that they had to work for bread.

The cat felt ashamed, the dog felt to blame
and so did the billy goat.

So the hen and her chicks ate all the bread
while her animal friends just watched instead.

Next time there's a task, you won't need to ask
the cat, dog, and billy goat.

Two Ways to Maintain Healthy Spiritual Teeth and Why

Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.  Proverbs 25:19

In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Hebrews 5:12

Proverbs speaks about an unfaithful/unreliable friend like leaning on or eating with a broken tooth. Apostle Paul also said that the young or immature spiritually only drink milk like a baby and they are not able to eat solid foods like meat.

I know this seems elementary, but we have to ask: Why would someone only be able to drink liquids?

There are two reasons I want to highlight .

1. They are too young.

2. They have poorly used teeth.

Let's look at number 1:

Apostle Paul told the leaders in 1 Corinthians 3:2:   "I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready."  He is referring to Christians who have not yet grown up and developed teeth, but he is talking spiritually.  There are those who have been Christians perhaps for a while, but have not grown into spiritual adults. So how can a Christian grow into a spiritual adult?  Highlighted soon.

Let's look at number 2:

Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.  Proverbs 25:19

There are many possibilities for getting a broken tooth, but let's say a tooth is broken only by eating foods.  How does this happen?   The most common case is due to the fact that a person with a broken tooth may eating poorly or eating the wrong foods.  When the tooth is broken it is difficult to chew solids.

A person with strong teeth can eat solid foods and mash them enough to digest them and make himself more productive through it.   But the one with broken or no teeth has to only take in milk or liquid drinks because he can not chew solid foods.

Now...

When I thought of this, I understand that we have a spiritual body as well as the physical body.  And the spiritual body has teeth as well so to speak.  And those teeth chew and digest our life experiences and nurtures the body to be more productive in its day to day tasks.  What Apostle Paul is saying is some Christians do not have the spiritual teeth yet developed.

How do these two things happen in our spiritual lives?  How can we live day to day and not spiritually grow?  Or how do we get "bad" spiritual teeth?

There  are two ways:

1. We avoid hardship, problems, or trials.   Instead of joyfully eating them.

The Bible says,

Romans 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,"

James 1:3  "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

2. We don't get into and chew on God's word daily.

2 Peter 1:4-8 says,

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What is the result?

When I thought of this I saw spiritual teeth and these spiritual teeth, I saw when they are strong they can digest hardship suffering pain anguish and become strong through it.   The hardship , suffering, pain a lot of times through persecutions is like protein-filled meats that make our spiritual apparatus incredibly strong in Christ because after the meat is digested it makes you stronger spiritually and more able to lift others out of spiritual pits.

But those who never eat this kind of meat, never giving their spiritual teeth opportunity of use cause their teeth to deteriorate.  Or perhaps believers avoided eating solid foods and meats and only ate the sweets and candies of life.  What are the sweets?  Perhaps the sweets are only good times all the time and only delightful news all the time.   Although these things are good, our spiritual teeth were never made to only eat sweet things and at the same time maintain very strong spiritual teeth.

Like proverbs says, an unreliable person is a person who is not able to eat solid foods.   He may be spiritually weak or malnourished.   He only ate candy all the time.  And so their teeth are no longer dependable.  Have you ever tried to chew using a tooth that was no good?   Let's make sure we have strong spiritual teeth!  Let's ask God for courage to not avoid hardships and with joyful confidence live to the fullest each day.  Let's pray and read God's word daily so we can be strong and properly chew and digest all of the nutrients life gives us.    It's use is to chew but they are no longer strong enough to eat the meat they are given in our life.   Let's be spiritually strong and mature Christians so we can lift each other up in our times of need.

There is a Reward for Everything that We Lay Down

Think about it.  God is calling you not to only lay down your life, but lay down your rights.  Your rights to have it all.  Your rights to be amazing by your own hands for your own glory.  Your right to have it the way you want it.   But Remember this:  That for everything you lay down there is a reward.  For God rewards all those who earnestly seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).  So remember that when life get's hard.  When it's not easy to stand up for the Lord.  Trust in the Lord and lay down your life and lay down your rights.  The reward is countless, flawless, uncountable, great beyond imagination.   Pray for God to help you find discernment and know what it is  in you life that you need to lay down and trust Him with today.

God bless you.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."  Hebrews 11:6

A Bold Prayer for Our Children

This, according to Psalm 112:1-3, is the prayer we have for our children.  We all want our children to be successful everywhere.  We want our children to be successful in the eyes of a loving and caring Father more than anything.  Here is Psalm 112:1-3

1 "Praise the Lord!

How joyful are those who fear the Lord
and delight in obeying his commands.
2 Their children will be successful everywhere;
an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.
3 They themselves will be wealthy,
and their good deeds will last forever."

The kind of wealth that comes not from man's strategies without God but the kind of wealth that comes from following Jesus is what is going to bless this entire generation.  Praise God and let's pray for the next generation.

I'm telling you there is nothing more dangerous to the enemy than a wife with great expectations. And, my friends, I must confess.  I have a VERY Dangerous wife to the enemy!  She has such great expectations of who God is and what God is doing...man I am so blessed.  That is what I am realizing.  She prays and speaks God's word over my kids and our lives.  She humbly seeks the Lord and loves Him.  I'm so thankful for her.

I have news for you:   Your spouse has great expectations of God as well.  So thank God! His name is Jesus.

He Said, "Go and Sin No More." Explained.

(See John 8)

Jesus was there at the face of choosing condemnation for this woman caught in the act of adultery, or mercy. And you know what?  God chose mercy.  Jesus knelt down at the suspense of this woman's accusers and he wrote something down.  We don't know what Jesus wrote, but we know that he wrote words of mercy for this woman.  Jesus said, "He who is without sin, be the first to throw the stone."   The Bible says they all went away starting from oldest to youngest.  When they all left, this woman was left with no one but Jesus and his disciples.  Jesus said, "Woman, where are your accusers?"  They are all gone.  Jesus told her, I do not condemn you either, now go and sin no more. (John 8:11)

There is something really REALLY important to see here.  I think many people think that Jesus said to her, "Go and sin no more." But they think that what Jesus means by that is, "Now, you were a very bad, terrible, terrible person! Now go and try not to screw things up again! Try not to make a mess of your life again pleeeease. Now good luck with all that!"   But that is NOT was Jesus was saying. That is not why Jesus did what he did here.  Let's look into this.

What Jesus did here is really super important for us to understand.  What Jesus was saying to her by saying, "Go and sin no more."  Is,  Here is a person who believes in you my dear. I know what God has for you.  You see, I know that the accuser was trying to condemn you. He was there every day trying to beat you down.  The accuser was beating you down and beating you down so you were unable to live the life God wants for you to please God. But now I release you from that life!  You are free! Now GO! You have my power with you now.  You have my seal over the rest of your life now! Now GO! You have my permission to go and sin no more.  You have my power to go and live a truly powerful life! You are reconnected with God and you have my seal of approval. You are now filled with the grace to go free of sin and shame in your life.  You are new! You are made new!  Now go!

I think that's a message for us.  We need to now go!  Look ahead! There is a bright! Bright life for you because of Jesus in our lives!

HALLELUJAH! This is what Jesus does for us!  He doesn't condemn us when we come to him. He frees us and gives us His seal of approval, the permission, and the power to live a victoriously in our life to His glory alone!

Now you have my permission to go and be victorious in every area of your life to the glory and purpose of God Almighty! God be glorified in your life all day today. Amen :)

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. All I Need Is a Stone...

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God."  Psalm 20:7

I just heard in my spirit:  "All I need is a stone."   People trust in great armor and chariots...or if I put it in modern world terms, people trust in the economy and groups, "connections" or associations, but all I need is God and this stone.

David became King of Israel by the anointing of God.  He said to the former king Saul that all he needed was a sling and a stone.  That's all you need too!   That's what we need to realize. Do not settle or go for the things this world says you need.    Go with the things God says you need.  God said to Moses, "What do you have in your hand?"  I'm asking you:  What do you have in your hands now??   Guess what! That is all you need.   Go and trust in the name of the Almighty.  Trust in the name of Jesus Christ.  Jesus came to bring you victory to bring all glory back to the Father.   Christ is greater than anything.  Follow him and trust in Him.  He WILL bring the victory just as sure as God gave Jesus all victory as you walk with Him today.

Trust Him.

The Bible says, "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone." Psalm 118:22

All I need is THAT stone.  That stone, my friends, is Jesus.

All I need is Jesus.

Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.

Dare To Believe What God Says About You

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4,5

Dare to believe what God says about you.  He says you are forgiven. You are restored.  You are full of Him.  You are full of His healing power especially through prayer.  You are free! You are free from your past! You are free from sin in Christ! You are free from shame! You are free from dishonor in Christ.  You are whole! You are living and alive in Christ!  You are well! You prosper inside and out daily!  You are well well well so well that others get well when they approach you! You are the light and the sustaining instrument for this world!  You are well!  You are well inside and out! You are so well that others feel the power of Jesus Christ who raised from the dead inside of you!  You are well! You are in the will of the Father and denied nothing from Him.  You have no mountain you can't move in your way.  You are God's chosen.  You are a child of the Most High.  You are chosen.  You are great in joy peace and grace showing this world today.

Your Job is to Worship Me and You Worship Me by Enjoying the Life I Gave You :)

Psalm 16:11

"You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever."

I hear God say, "Worship me"  and I always thought that "worship  me" meant, be sad, be gloomy, go through pains, sacrifice after sacrifice and sacrifice until you are miserable.  But God told me, "No, Jeremy."  To fully worship me, for you, it means to "enjoy your life"

It's easy for me to get sad and really really religious and "sacrifice" by getting angry with people, not eating, not smiling, not enjoying myself and say "well, I'm doing this for the Lord." and The Lord knows that.  To serve the Lord for me would be to stop trying to "sacrifice" and be the most religious person you can be and start enjoying your life.

Now, what do I mean by enjoy your life?  I do not mean destroy your life by living in ways contradictory to God's word.  I mean love the life God gives you, love those around you, and learn to love your life more and more: enjoy the life God has given to you until you just can't stop smiling because of the goodness of God in your life.  Sing sing and sing!  Think of all God has done.  Enjoy and live doing what God has gifted you with and enjoy your life.  Jesus said, "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice." Matthew 9:13.   Most of us religious people got the religious thing down where we sacrifice sacrifice and sacrifice but don't look out to see God's mercy on us in our lives.  We don't stop to see and miss out on how God has truly blessed us and made us a blessing.  Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). Obedience is our worship to God.  We obey God when we enjoy the life he has given us.  Jesus didn't say "come to me and I will make your life heavy" No, He said, "come to me and I will give you rest."   (Matthew 11:28).  We come alive when we serve God with all our hearts.  I encourage you to love God today by just enjoying His presence in your life today and relax in Him today :).

Peace I leave you; my peace I give you.  John 14:27

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. God Will Wipe Away Every Tear From Our Eyes

"Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." Psalm 23:6

The things the enemy reminds you of are the very things that won't be apart of your story so thank the enemy for reminding you what God has wiped away from your eyes.  And God will wipe away every tear, every hurt, every disappointment, every seeming scar from your eyes and behold my eyes will gaze upon the glory of the Lord and I will rest in the house of the Lord forever and ever.  Amen.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever." Revelation 21:4

"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him--" 1 Corinthians 2:9

My Passion is not in Soaring High. My Passion is in Digging Deep.

"Jesus said to the crowds, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found; he hides it again, goes off happy, sells everything he owns and buys the field.
‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls; when he finds one of great value he goes and sells everything he owns and buys it.."  Matthew 13:44-46

When I see people soaring to "success" or trying to reach the heavens, I get this depressed feeling.  I get this feeling of meaninglessness in soaring high.  Is it because I feel that stars are the only things out there or is it because I feel that people miss the mark in soaring high to know the stars when they could be taking the time to know themselves?  I believe there is so much value in seeing who you are and what you are to do while you are here on this planet.   I believe there are far more interesting entities to discover when you search and dig down deep into your own soul that God made and frankly that God values more than the stars.  There is so much more treasure inside that not only you but others will benefit from for decades and possibly centuries if you dig up enough the treasure inside you.  Perhaps by reaching high we discover more of what's inside, but you will never get bored looking inside the soul and discovering all you can be.  Pursue the stars? Sure!  See what's out there? Yeah!  But look inside first and you'll find that once you've done it all out there, there's so much to discover inside.

Matthew 13:47-52

47 ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea that brings in a haul of all kinds. 48 When it is full, the fishermen haul it ashore; then, sitting down, they collect the good ones in a basket and throw away those that are no use. 49 This is how it will be at the end of time: the angels will appear and separate the wicked from the just, 50 to throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
51 ‘Have you understood all this?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ 52 And he said to them, ‘Well then, every scribe who becomes a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out from his storeroom things both new and old.’

A Good Monday

Just thinking about Good Friday, at that time it didn't look like a good Friday when Jesus was there on the cross.  But three days later, Christ was risen from the dead and from the grave.  All death, hades, hell and the grave have been utterly defeated in Jesus' name.

Right now, today is Monday.  I'm here to tell you that because of Jesus, today is a Good Monday.  No matter what is happening in your life - turn your eyes and give your life away to Jesus and I promise you a new beginning will be your awesome viewpoint and you'll see God do all things super good in your life.  Let God be true and every man be a liar.   It might take us to humble ourselves, but look at things now from Almighty God's perspective and even when it is hard, I encourage you to trust in Him.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. A Good Measure (Luke 6:38)

Luke 6:38 New King James Version (NKJV)

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

I'll tell you s secret. The word "measure" in here can be replaced with the word "attitude" in our lives with God and with other people.  With the same attitude you offer to others whether grace or another, it will be poured out greatly unto you. Let's pour others out a spirit of grace.

The best way to help people to be true to themselves and God starts inside.  Lets go for the most encouraging inspiring way to live.  Live out a life of praise to God today.

A Prayer for Finances and Stewardship from Gateway Church in Dallas, TX #PutGodFirst

My personal prayer for you is that God liberates you in your mind and gives you a spirit of freedom and stewardship in your finances today.  Amen.

This (in italics) is the response to prayer from Gateway Church after my wife and I prayed and asked for prayer for our family.  (for this and other prayer requests go to prayer.gatewaypeople.com)

Prayer Request Category: Finances

Here are some scriptures that you might find helpful or encouraging.

Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, "Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."

Matthew 18:18-19
"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

3 John 2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Directive Prayer
Father,

I thank You for Your Word that I may know it's Your will that I prosper financially even as my soul prospers. I bind my mind to the mind of Christ, my finances to the will of God, and my emotions to Your Holy Spirit. May my integrity and uprightness protect me, and I put my trust in You and in Your Word. I pray You'll supply all my needs and that I will be a good and faithful steward to all that You give me.

In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen

God, Give Me Excellence in Worship. Excellence in Prayer, and Excellence in Generosity

God, wake me up!  Open up my eyes!

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” Acts 20:35

God, give me today, a greater desire for excellence in worship.  God let me take worship seriously, letting nothing stop me from singing or making noise with a sincere heart to You!

God, grant that I desire more and more in detailed ways, excellence in prayer. Let me speak your heart with my lips.

God, let nothing be a barrow between me and excellence in generosity.  God bless my house indeed. Make a generous house God.  Heal others through our house.  Redeem others through Jesus.  Show us grace in an amazing joy-giving way, Father.  We trust your loving hands holding us now.

I give you my prayers, my worship, and a heart to transform into a generous one.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. What do you think happened to the widow after that day? #herlastpenny

What do you think happened to that widow who gave her last penny?

I would love for someone to make a video about this one day.  Maybe I will :)

Imagine Jesus telling the story of parables when he turns his attention to a widow who gave her last penny as an offering.  Jesus turns and acknowledges this woman.  He says,

“Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:3,4)

All his disciples just looked at her.  I'm telling you after that day many people never looked at her the same again.  This is not in the scriptures, but I wonder if she ever had to worry again about money again.  I wonder if after Jesus' death and resurrection, his disciples saw her and remembered her heart and cared for her needs the rest of her life.  I believe that whether or not this widow had enough money to live off of the rest of her life, after that day she knew she was well taken care of and that's why she continue to give trusting God to take care of her every need.

I want to encourage you to live like this widow, knowing that you are well taken care of by your Father who sees you.  You are blessed today.  I'm glad Jesus helped us learn something from this widow today.

My thankful statement:

Today, I sighed as I saw my little girl sleeping next to my wife who is carrying our sweet baby.  I had great sleep and arrived to a blessed time at work.

Thank you, Jesus.

What are you thankful for?
