8 Things I NEVER Have to wait for :)

I found that there are some things you never have to wait for.  As a matter of fact you should be disgustingly impatient when it comes to this.  Here's my list.

one is thankfulness.
You never have to wait to give thanks to God, give thanks to people around you.  Give thanks and you never have to wait to do that.

Be kind
You never have to wait to show kindness to others.

Show love
You never have to wait to show love to someone

Teach patience
I know it sounds ironic, but patience builds character, and I don't mean showing "patience" when you need to act on something.  I'm saying when it is easier to act, but the pay off for everyone is greater if you wait. You need to show patience NOW.

Be at peace
You never have to wait to be at peace.  I want to add that all of these things, these virtues are all incredibly priceless and they are the things that give us all of those things that we think we want in life.  Be at peace and you never have to wait to do that.

Be gentle
This is one that I need to work on as well, just as a guy we think that we need to be more stern, but gentleness has more power.  We never have to wait to do this, but ironically, when we wait we are gaining this ability.

Be humble
Being humble is something we never have to wait for, but again, ironically, this is the reward of waiting.  Like what many successful people say:  it's the the things you get from developing the right habits, but it's the habits themselves that are your reward.

Smile
You, let me give you permission, you never have to wait to smile at God, smile at the day, smile at the day all day.  Smile, because God is good to you.

BONUS: Integrity
Never wait to have integrity.  Always hold to the integrity you've been given.  God  smiles at you and He has awesome plans for you (Jeremiah 2:19). Be humble, but NEVER trade your integrity for anything.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.

Lord, Give Me my Rachel and Give My Wife her Boaz (Resolutions from a fight)

My wife and I are not perfect. We fight, especially when we're tired and with two jobs, a Phd program, student loan debt, and a 11 month old, there is bound to be a time when we will fight.  Truth is we have done well so far, but when we fight I know two things:  1. it reveals underlying problems that we must face and 2. God wants to do something amazing in our lives, but first there's a hump we have to get over.

When we experience problems, there is one thing that the enemy tries to do:  he tries to give me other options of people to go to to solve my problems.  But I decided that Kayla is the only girl I would run to, but the enemy still tries so what do I do?   Get brothers to keep me accountable, yes!  But the one other thing that I resolved to pray when the enemy says, "She's not your Rachel, she's your Leah.  She's not the one you really want. See what she did! See how she's treating you!!  She can't be the Rachel for you!"

When I hear these accusing voices I run to God.  Because here's the truth: If satan is saying that to me, he's probably trying to say the same things to my wife, "See! He's not being your Boaz right now!!  He's not acting like it!! See!! See!! See!! See!"  Shut up, satan!!  One thing I don't do is run from satan.  I tell him to be quiet and here is why!  Here's what I've resolved.

I love my wife too much to keep her tied down.  I want the best for my wife.  So I say, "God, make me her Boaz!"  She deserves to have a Boaz.  Cause I know how bad I want Rachel.  And if she wants Boaz as bad as I want Rachel then I hope she has the same prayer.  God get "me" out of the way! She deserves a real Boaz and only you gave give this to her.  God, get "me" out of the way of the plans and dreams you have for her!  I don't want our dreams to die, God.  I'm not willing to have my way so that we both lose.

Sometimes, when we fight I'm reminded of 1 Kings 3, where one woman was trying to say that this baby was her baby, but the truth is the woman's son died at night and she stole the other woman's son and posed the baby as her own.  When the problem was presented to Solomon, Solomon said,

Cut the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other”  "Then the woman whose child was the living one spoke to the king, for she was deeply stirred over her son and said, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him.”  But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him!”

Then Solomon said, “Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him. She is his mother.”

Sometimes, when we fight, we are battling for our own dreams, not realizing that there are no longer two dreams between us, but only one.  Now, are you willing to have your way so that both of your dreams die.  Or are you willing to sacrifice so that this one dream left can live?   I heard God say to me, "Are you willing to lose your dream if it means that she have all that I have for her, or are you too willing to have it your way that you will crush her dreams to have it!?

And I hear God asking both me and Kayla this question:  Your "baby" is all the dreams, hopes and plans I have for you here on this earth.  Is Kayla willing to sacrifice herself to let your dream live?  Jeremy, are you willing to sacrifice yourself so that my dreams and my goals and my plans for both of you live??

I have to answer this question.  What about you?  Are you willing to give your spouse over to be free or are you bitter because you won't have your way that you are willing to let both of your dreams die??

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. Three Questions to Ask Yourself Before Making a Decision...

1. Will this opportunity strengthen my relationships with God, my wife, and my children?

I could choose to be an operator for a local company, but will that opportunity leave me complaining and angry with God and then take it out on my family? In that case this route might not be the best decision.

2. Will this opportunity support and grow a great business lifestyle and not distract or detract from my other business/career goals?

To answer this question properly, it is important to know what your goals are.  It may be helpful to create a clear list of what your goals may be and thoroughly understand what you want to do and why so that you can avoid a lifestyle that will leave you dissatisfied with your life.  Then act!

3. Will this opportunity make me happier, healthier, and a stronger leader?

I think it is not only us that we want happy.  It's our children, spouse and others around us we want to help.  Therefore, if we are happier, healthier and a stronger leader we can help those around us to pursue the same for themselves.  So this question is very important.

These are the three questions I will ask myself before making a clear decision and I encourage you to do the same as well.  I got these questions for a wonderful guy, Dale Partridge.  Feel free to visit him at http://startupcamp.com/#pricingsection.

At The End of Wisdom, All there is left to do is to Praise the Woman of Noble Character

Proverbs 31

Have you ever noticed that the end of proverbs why the woman of noble character is said at last of the book of Proverbs?  I believe it is because at the end of all wisdom is said, there is only praise for the woman who fears the Lord and who has been waiting for man who fears the Lord.  At the end, the whole purpose of wisdom is to adorn her with everything because a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.  I believe it is also because there is nothing wiser than to praise the woman of noble character that loves you.  There is nothing wiser than to have a woman of God.  That is at the end of wisdom.

There is also a parallel I see here.  Jesus is coming back for His bride.  At the end of all the struggle, when Jesus takes his bride the church, there will be nothing left to do but give praise and live in great peace and joy forever.  Jesus is coming back to take His woman of noble character with Him.

God is refining you and me and getting us ready to be with our husband, the Lord Jesus forever.   I think all of proverbs 1 through 30 can be seen to get us ready as a woman of noble character.  Imagine a man at the age of 31 who finally ready for his bride.  For the past 30 years proverbs were instilled in the man or woman until he contained the character needed to be with their spouse forever.  Take hold of this wisdom and allow God to ready you to meet Jesus face to face.  We are His greatest desire.

I want to speak for every man when I say it is not us, but really the grace of God that brings us to such beautiful and wise women of God.  I am so thankful for my lovely wife.  She is beautiful and she loves the Lord.  Nothing can be greater life than this.  Thank you, Jesus.

"Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."  Proverbs 31:31

If you want to know about true beauty, ask my wife :)

Do you know about Peter who was trying to catch fish for hours and hours and hours and hours but caught nothing?  Jesus came to him and asked, "friend, have you caught anything?"  He answered, "No."  Jesus asked him to throw his net on the other side, Peter did and he caught so much he needed help just to bring in all the fish!  But then when Peter looked at Jesus he fell to his knees and said, "Away from me Lord for I don't deserve this."  This is how I feel when I look at my wife.

I don't deserve this and it's almost hard to stand.  I can't place it in words.  It's grace.  Great grace of God.  So much beauty, it's hard to look at for too long like looking into the sun.  She is so beautiful to me.  She shines the light of Jesus Christ and I am the most blessed man on earth today.  What a beautiful God we have.  Thankful.

Eight things today I am thankful for

  1. My wife takes care of kids so well
  2. She gives me great words of affirmation
  3. She is spirit filled
  4. She loves my daughter and takes good care of my son
  5. She loves others
  6. She works really hard
  7. She's a great Christian woman
  8. She is filled with joy

Have an Attitude of Grace Today : )

Respond to God's grace today. :)

Gratitude is an amazing habit we can develop today and it will change our lives for the best forever. I want to encouraeg you to find ten things today and thank God for it today.  Look at the things God's given to you and give thanks for what God has given to you.

Magnify God through this wonderous attitude of grace.  Today I said, "Thank you God for my lamp, my picture frame of me and my wife, this book, etc. Everything I have with you in it is worth more than a billion dollars EACH becacuse YOU gave them to me!"  I'm going to start giving to God thanks and magnifying who God is and making God bigger than all.  I'm going to start magnifying what God has given to me today until everything I have just glows in the dark.    Praise God and let all the praise belong to Him!

Gratitude is this - gra - attutude.  Let the gra stand for grace - gra-attiutde is Grace Attitude.  We have grace attitude today amen : )

Today replace any envy, coveteousness, jealously for thanking and magnifying the Lord today.

You have the victory!
