What do you think happened to the widow after that day? #herlastpenny

What do you think happened to that widow who gave her last penny?

I would love for someone to make a video about this one day.  Maybe I will :)

Imagine Jesus telling the story of parables when he turns his attention to a widow who gave her last penny as an offering.  Jesus turns and acknowledges this woman.  He says,

“Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:3,4)

All his disciples just looked at her.  I'm telling you after that day many people never looked at her the same again.  This is not in the scriptures, but I wonder if she ever had to worry again about money again.  I wonder if after Jesus' death and resurrection, his disciples saw her and remembered her heart and cared for her needs the rest of her life.  I believe that whether or not this widow had enough money to live off of the rest of her life, after that day she knew she was well taken care of and that's why she continue to give trusting God to take care of her every need.

I want to encourage you to live like this widow, knowing that you are well taken care of by your Father who sees you.  You are blessed today.  I'm glad Jesus helped us learn something from this widow today.

My thankful statement:

Today, I sighed as I saw my little girl sleeping next to my wife who is carrying our sweet baby.  I had great sleep and arrived to a blessed time at work.

Thank you, Jesus.

What are you thankful for?

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
