Which one are you? Are you a Land-taker or a Desert Perisher

"Choose this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  Joshua 24:15ac

Which one are you?

Are you a person her takes the land?  Or do you perish in the dessert?  You choose.  You confess it.

All the people died in the desert, except the ones who professed by faith that they are more than able, let's go after them and take the land!  They did not complain.  They were wait-ers.  They hoped.  They trusted.  They waited, and trusted, and expected God to work (see Caleb's testimony - Joshua 14:11).

Are you are Land-taker, or are you a desert-perisher??   Let's look at what the people in the desert who died in the dessert did..... They complained, they bickered, they complained about leadership, they blamed everyone but themselves.  They did not worship the Lord; they worshiped idols openly and often.  They longed for the past and didn't reach forward towards the things that are to come, the things that God has for them!  They were not very thankful.   These are NOT the things that a LAND TAKER does.  Joshua and Caleb were the ones who confessed their faith in the dessert.  By their own confession, they were LAND-TAKERS.  So which one are you?  Tell us!  Get your mouth right, and confess right.

Joshua said, 14 “Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  The Book of Joshua, 24:14-15

Be a decision-maker.   So choose how you will live and who you will serve.  Proclaim:  WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

If you'd like to accept Jesus into your life today, pray this simple prayer of God's love and grace today: Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for all my sin; now Lord I invite you into my heart. Come and be my everything today and forever. Forgive my sin as I make You and you alone Lord in my life. Amen. Now read the book of God's love in the Bible: The book of John chapters 1-21. God promises He will guide your life. Pray and ask God to bring the right people into your life. God will guide you to the right church full of people who love His words in the Bible. Our God is so faithful. God bless you today.
